Ecommerce business - Ebay Product profit research?

Please note, earlier I posted topic 1 where I taught on how to use Google keyword tool to do keyword research in order to identify profitable keywords and products. You can see it here at this link http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2256576
Also, if you would like to learn about my own story and success with ecommerce, you can see this post for reference http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2256207

This is topic 2

CHAPTER 1
TOPIC 2 - Product Research on Ebay - Product profitability testing
==========================================

Purpose of this topic is to identify if the product we potentially want to sell is profitable in the long run? If yes, then we start exploring more products within this niche otherwise we move on to identify another product

Ok so you have now done enough research on google and have finally come up with a good product where you believe, enough people are searching for it however not much competition exists and you can easily rank your website in search engine and start selling the product. Great. So what are you waiting for? Hmm so now you want to know weather product is profitable enough if you want to sell or not really profitable. Yes, there is no competition or very little competition and enough people looking but what if it is too expensive to source? What if there is no competition for reasons. May be product is too big to even consider shipping from one country to another? What if it is considered a hazardous material and no carrier is willing to take it? Or what if it is health related product and you don’t want to be messing on with any country’s law? Well there could be many reasons.

So the best way is to analyze what other sellers are doing? Ebay is the biggest marketplace at the moment? Right? So I am sure someone must be selling that product on ebay too. So why not let’s dig into ebay and find out how many people are selling this product? What’s the average price? What’s the success ratio of their listings on ebay? What is the sell through ratio on ebay?

Now you have 2 options. Either you collect this information manually or get a specialized tool to do this work for you. I would rather go with 2nd option. I use Terapeak. I love this tool. If you want to be selling better than others on ebay then this is my choice of tool. I pay them a fix yearly fee to use this tool and it’s online subscription. I use my own account to do research on products, research on sellers, research on competition, research on demand and supply and too many great things. Please note, if you use such a specialized tool for your research your chances of selling more than others increase tremendously. Please note, you can get a free trial of terapeak to do the research anyways if you don't want to pay for it yet.

So let me share with you, how things look like inside terapeak and how can we analyze the profitability of the product. Before this, let me tell you we are going to do research on the product called “Magnetic necklace”. Before this you also may want to know your own cost should you buy it from your supplier? Who is your supplier, where are you going to source this product from? Well, I have another chapter dedicated to product sourcing. Just for sake of this topic I don’t want to discuss product sourcing here in this topic. So I give you a quick hint that I would myself go to Alibaba or tradekey or any similar platform and check various different wholesalers to find out how much are they selling this product for. I have just done a quick checking and found that I can get various different designs of magnetic necklaces ranging from USD5 to USD8. So let’s keep in mind an average cost is roughly USD7 and move ahead with product profitiblity analysis on terapeak now.

Let’s get to Terapeak.com. Login using my account and this is how things looks like from inside.

You can see that we have many options for research available such as product research or competitor research etc. Ok, now we type Magnetic necklace in the product research section and we choose the last 30 days and remember our focus is ebay.com for this research purpose and let see what comes up next.

Once we select 30 days and we enter our product info, it will start extracting the info for you from live ebay system and show you this screen

After the information is collected. Please carefully see this screen. You can see it is showing you the top sellers information. Who are the top sellers who sold this product and in what quantity and what amount they sold. However this is the 2nd thing we may want to see. Let's click on the HIGH LEVEL INFO section. I have circled that icon in blue. So click on this one so we can see the overall summary and high level of information first.

Ok, now you see High level of summary in this section. Now let's focus on the 2 sections. The blue area and the red circle that I am focusing on becuase these 2 sections contain the most wealthy information for us. Now let's look at the top blue bordered area. What is the average price in which people selling this product for? $8 approx. Shipment cost another $4. Ok. So this means, $12 inclusive shipment is what people selling it for. Hmm, so if my own buying cost is USD7, how am I going to sell it for USD12 and yet cover for ebay and paypal fee and yet make my living out of it and pay for my mortgage and my car and my family? Ohh no, you dizzy now? Please don't stress out. Let me tell you something clearly. What is sold for USD12 on average on ebay, I will be selling it for USD29.90 the least. Now you wondering how on earth I can sell something for USD29.90 when people already selling that thing for USD12? Well, let me remind you I have few more chapters for you to understand how exactly I am going to sell it for higher margin with more profit for myself. So for now don't worry too much about it. Just keep it in mind that if I see something on terapeak being sold for USD12 on average, then my selling price is automatically going to be 150% times more with attractive rounding. So in this case I'll round it to USD29.90. Now we will discuss it later on how am I going to sell it for that price. Let's move to next part now.

There are 9000+ listings by various sellers and sell through ratio is 20.5% roughly. Hmmmmm Looks pretty competitive to me on ebay. Means, competition is severe because too many listings. But it doesn't mean, I list my item and no one watches it. Don't worry there are enough people to watch my item, regardless on the number of listings on ebay.

Now look at the red circled area. Total sales by all sellers commulatively is USD27K for the whole month. Hmmm, not bad. Means, enough volume is there and if I can capture just 10% of this then I can sell USD2700 a month alone by myself. Can I capture 10%? Well, don't worry about me. I can capture more than 20% for myself easily. We talk about selling techniques later.

Please note, whatever you have learned so far is just tip of the ice berg. Remember, I always preach that ebay is not the only place to sell your products and I always stand by my words. However ebay is indeed a great place to do profitablity testing of your product at least which is what we just did. So far, we have just learned is the begining only where we have just started to believe in what product we want to sell. Where to sell, how to sell is yet to come and yet to learn.

How to identify profitable product for ecommerce?

If anyone is considering starting an ecommerce business then what's the most crucial step?

Please remember, the first step is always identifying a profitable niche to start with.

In this guide, I am going through Chapter 1 of my own hand written book for more chapters you can see them here later in few days http://www.extremecommerce.org/free-online...mmerce-training

Please note this is free as long as you using this for your ownself and I guarantee you that you just follow the steps I tell you and you will have a profitable good ecommerce business in no time.

CHAPTER 1 - IDENTIFYING A PROFITABLE NICHE

TOPIC 1 - UNDERSTANDING GOOGLE KEYWORD RESEARCH TOOL
====================================================
This is the one of the most crucial step before getting into building up your own online ecommerce business. At the end of the day you want to be selling profitable products in a profitable niche. I am sure you don’t want to be ending up having a bad experience of trying ecommerce business when you are exhausted in a tough market competition, not able to have enough markup for yourself and yet selling products at very low margin and not being able to have a reasonable profitable business.
Ok. So what’s the first step? Basically for me personally I use 2 major tools to identify profitable products to sell. I ask Google and Ebay because when it comes to ecommerce, you want to ask these 2 guys and they will tell you exactly on what people are looking for, what products you can sell, how much margin you have. Please note there are many specialized tools you can use for this work. So it’s entirely upto you if you want to use those tools or you want to use simple free tools.
Let’s start our first step from google keyword tool. We can ask google what keywords people typing and looking at and what is the demand and supply against each keyword.
Before asking this question from google, let me clear to you what are these keywords and how they work? Basically keyword is a word or sentence that people may type on any search engine to locate their subject or product or anything of interest. For example, if you are looking to buy a pair of shoes on internet, you may type “Buy shoes” or “Buy shoes online” or “where to buy shoes online”.
Now remember, “Buy shoes”, “Buy shoes online” and “where to buy shoes online” are 3 different keywords. They are not referring to one subject in general but may be referring to different articles, different pages or different websites on internet. However search engines now a days are smart enough to relate all of them with each other assuming that whoever is typing any of these keywords must be looking for buying a shoes.
Now, if I have a website and I sell shoes then I may want to get my website showing up on page 1 of google if anyone type any of those relevant keywords. But that requires me to ensure that my website rank on page 1 for those keywords and that requires me working on all of those keywords and invest heavily on Search Engine Optimization exercise where we work hard on building relevant links and publishing relevant content related to those keywords and slowly those keywords will start ranking and eventually my website will be coming up on first page of Google when people look for those keywords.

Why getting your website to page 1 is so important? Remember, 80% of people make their decisions on page 1 of google or any search engine. There is hardly another 15% visitors going to 2nd page and another 5% going to 3rd page. So how much business do you get unless you are on page 1 of google? And if you want to be on page 1 of google for the keywords that people typing then this is where you work on optimization of your desired keywords.
But remember one thing. Every keyword is different from each other in terms of it’s monthly search volume and the competition. For me I like to call it Demand and Supply in simple language. So every keyword is representing different amount of demand and competition. For example one keyword could be high in demand but extremely high in terms of competition whereas another relevant keyword could be high in demand with low in competition. So If I invest more on keyword which is in extremely high competition then I could be looking at many months just to get my website ranked for that keyword whereas If I spend same amount of energy and resources on less competitive keyword then I could be ranking much more quickly for that particular keyword and get enough traffic to my website and could start selling much more quickly.

Ok, so you now have an idea of what keywords are and how they work. Now let’s find out what keywords are suitable for my website and what’s the current demand and supply related to each keyword and which keyword I should select for my website so I can invest and work on those keywords which are less competitive and can give better yield for my business.
Let’s go to www.googlekeywordtool.com and click on the first tool on left most called Google keyword tool.

Once you get to google keyword tool, type the first sample keyword that you believe is most likely what people may be typing on google. So let’s type “buy shoes”

Now look at the 3 circles I have made for you so you can understand the key components of google keyword tool.

Can you see according to google currently we have 673,000 searches for this keyword “buy shoes” this month and local searches are roughly 4400 (Currently I am writing this from Malaysia).
You can see the search result is showing you a broad search result. This means, buy shoes may have mix results including some more words right or left. If you want to see more accurate result, then let’s make our search to show more EXACT result instead of Broad.
Well this time you see the results turned out to be 8100 searches a month. Do you notice the competition showing MEDIUM. Do you believe that could be real competition? Ok, let me clarify something here. Remember this is Google adword research tool. So basically this competition is reflecting google Adwords competition means, how many of google’s customers are using Google adword to advertise their products using this particular keyword. So the competition from natural google ranking could be entirely different from this result.

Now let’s check google natural search ranking competition. We also call them SERP (Search Engine Results Page).
So let’s click on any of the keyword and click on Google search. Now here you go. Let’s have a look at how many results do you get when you get this keyword on google page?
Wow, it shows 501 Million results. Now ask this question yourself, would you like to target this keyword for your SEO campaign? I mean, would you like to work on this particular keyword in order to sell your shoes when there is a whopping competition of 501 Million pages which are currently ranking for this keyword and how many pages finally make to first page?

Now let’s check google natural search ranking competition. We also call them SERP (Search Engine Results Page).
So let’s click on any of the keyword and click on Google search. Now here you go. Let’s have a look at how many results do you get when you get this keyword on google page?
Wow, it shows 501 Million results. Now ask this question yourself, would you like to target this keyword for your SEO campaign? I mean, would you like to work on this particular keyword in order to sell your shoes when there is a whopping competition of 501 Million pages which are currently ranking for this keyword and how many pages finally make to first page?

Alright, so what’s next? Let’s explore other keywords now and see which keyword may work well for us in terms of demand and supply. Ideally we are looking for keywords where enough number of people are searching them but yet competition is lower. There are too many keywords for this particular niche, however I have come up with following few for analysis.

Keyword Number of global searches SERP competition
Buy shoes online 18000+ 269 Million
Where to buy cheap shoes 390 134 Million
Buy cheap shoes 720 162 Million
Where to buy shoes online 590 208 Million
Buy online shoes 880 325 Million
Buying shoes online 1000 20 Million

Now, let’s analyze them. So if I ask you that you select keywords which can give you reasonable amount of traffic if you reach page 1 for that keyword but yet competition should be lower enough for you to sustain your optimization cost then which keyword are you going to select? If I ask you to choose between these 2 keywords “Buy shoes online” vs “Buy online shoes” so which one you choose? First one being searched 18000 times a month? Second one being searched 880 times a month? However in terms of competition first one has a competition of 269 Million web pages and second one has competition of 325 Million. So which one is the good one? Obviously the one with lower competition but yet with good amount of traffic whereas second one is searched less but yet too competitive. So our vote goes to first keyword.

Now analyze other keywords.

“Where to buy cheap shoes” vs “Buy cheap shoes”

First keyword is being searched 390 times whereas second keyword being searched 720 times almost double in searches compare to first one. However first keyword is less competitive being 134 million web pages vs second keyword which has a competition of 162 Million web pages. So which keyword you would like to invest in for your SEO campaign? First one or second one? Ok, if you ask me, I would go for second keyword because it is yielding enough monthly search but slightly higher in competition than the first one. You do have to keep a balance of search volume vs competition.

Now let’s analyze all keywords at once and select 1 best keyword that you should invest in. Ok, my vote goes for the keyword which is least competitive “Buying shoes online” the competition is 20Million web pages compare to all other keywords and the traffic amount is 1000 searches a month.

Great. So you now have got an idea on how are you going to select the best keyword to invest in compare to so many keywords. But are we done now? So you have finally got a profitable niche that you want to invest in? Are you a pro who is ready to go in?
Wait….. Let’s explore some other niches. Keep clicking around, keep typing for more items, keep coming up with new keywords, products after scanning through your house. Let’s look at your family member, see what items they have in their hand, what are they wearing. Ok, I have just seen my mum having some jewelry. Ok, now let me start typing more and more jewelry related keywords such as necklace, earrings and then google keyword tool will keep giving me more and more similar keywords related to these keywords and I’ll keep exploring. Wait. I found something. Let me show you.

Here is a keyword I found
“Magnetic Necklace”

There are 1600 searches for magnetic necklaces every month. Now I check

Now let’s look at the competition on Google SERP.
What?? 1.7Million web pages only? Woww, that’s absolutely cool.
So now I have found a very good profitable keyword which I can invest little and yet rank much more quickly because this keyword has got a very descent amount of monthly search traffic being 1600 searches and yet competition is very little. 1.7Million web pages is considered very little competition on google SERP and if a little amount of resources is invested in optimizing this keyword then you can easily rank your website for this keyword within 1-2 months time instead of months and months.

web pages only? Woww, that’s absolutely cool.
So now I have found a very good profitable keyword which I can invest little and yet rank much more quickly because this keyword has got a very descent amount of monthly search traffic being 1600 searches and yet competition is very little. 1.7Million web pages is considered very little competition on google SERP and if a little amount of resources is invested in optimizing this keyword then you can easily rank your website for this keyword within 1-2 months time instead of months and months.

So what is the final conclusion? Would you like to explore your options of selling shoes or magnetic necklace? So below are the 2 keywords in 2 different niches

“Buying shoes online” – 1000 searches – 162 Million web pages in competition

“Magnetic necklace” – 1600 searches – 1.7 Million web pages in competition

So, now ask yourself what niche would you like to explore further and what keywords would you like to invest in?

In my next topic, I will teach on how to take this research to next level by doing research on ebay and finding out how much is this magnetic necklace being sold on average for and how much margin do we have and how much profit we can make by selling this product.

Please note, I am currently recording a video of this whole chapter and all videos will be located in my site and youtube.
Which online business to choose? My true story

I know there are so many people who want to have real online income and earn online. Too many people struggling and getting conned by BS training programs. Let me share my true story if that can help you in anyway.

I came to Malaysia 3 years ago after winding up my Technology consulting business in Australia.

The first thing I did was by attending seminars of SUCCESS RESOURCES. I attended many of those seminars and attended many of the courses. I spent considerable amount of money and time. I won't say it's all bullshit but at least I learned few things. I would say 5% of my knowledge came through those courses but mostly were all rubbish. And yes, true, majority of these guys do earn from their followers and training programs online.

If anyone has heard of Even Chia, ok, what I learned from him was about Adsense/Micro niches. Being a very aggressive businessman, the first thing I did, setup 200 micro niches and started buying many adsense websites from flippa in those days. I spent about MYR200K while aggressively buying many adsense based websites. My earning reached something like RM10K per month because I had been buying many existing established websites. I am talking about end 2009 and early 2010.

Hmmm, my experience. Not really cool. Still struggling because I kept spending more and more to buy more and more websites but not all sites can last longer and they can't keep making money unless you spending equally on SEO which cost too. I was new so I kept trying whatever methods I could and pushed my adsense income max to RM15K. That was the peak. The challenge was to maintain this income which was hard because many older sites keep loosing income over time due to lack of SEO work and not every new site was good enough. So I kept struggling. You may think RM15K revenue is cool enough, however please note, I was not alone. I had a team of few staff members working for me. I come for a corporate background and very corporate mindset. I won't work from home or work alone by myself. I would rather rent office space, hire few people and get them busy on my projects. What for I am in business? I am in business not to work so hard and work day and night. I am in business to work as little as possible but earn as much as possible. I know many won't agree so let's not argue on this point

In the meanwhile, I started trying affiliate commissions and I bought many affiliate commission sites. Affiliate commission wasn't cool enough because I got many of my google adwords accounts suspended because google wasn't happy about such sites. I tried many things, I worked on forum marketing, blogs, ads, affiliate, adsense and the max turn over I reached was RM30K. Please note, this is just the turn over, it does not come in my pocket because I don't work alone. I have my team of developers who get all sites ready for me and follow whatever I need them to do. I had admin girl, I had accounts girl who in fact handling my left over Australian business which was feeding the business for sometime.

I had blown up more than RM500K already while trying too many things, however I could say yes, I had online business, I am surviving but it's not something too good either because every day we had challenges, every day trouble, every day getting accounts being suspended on forums, google, affiliate sites. Because of my past technology background and experience, I had many virtual machines, every VM has an IP of different country and I manage many different accounts from many different countries. I did everything I could. The biggest challenge is capital. I had a land in Australia, I sold, I had a lot of my stuff that I sold off. I basically sold off most of my assets. I had a house here in malaysia, I did re-financing to get more money out of it. I had to take loans, cards and everything and at the same time had to keep up with my monthly payments.

Mid year 2010, I met someone who told me about selling on Ebay. In fact I had an ebay account since year 2002 that I used as a buyer mostly. I may have hardly sold 2-3 garage items the max. I had no idea how people make living out of ebay. I spent RM5K and sent 2 of my staff members to go and learn ebay and come back and we try this ebay thing. The trainer was Mr Chan of Netbiz. He is my good friend with his office in Sri Petaling

We sold couple of things on ebay and I could see that we can make some money here. This is where I got myself personally into this area and started exploring it aggressively. I started buying things direct from Chinese factories and started selling them on ebay Australia, ebay malaysia, Ebay USA, however severe competition won't let you earn much. My total business volume was between RM50k-RM60K by that time. I gained enough experience competing on ebay and I started expanding the business aggressively to websites, amazon and too many other channels including lelong, mudah, kijiji, souq.come etc. The most profitable of all is always your own website. And website can't make money unless you spend aggressively on SEO of your website. I had been growing it all aggressively. This year was tough because I had sold off all my assets by that time and with little left over, I had been growing the business. I flew to US and UK just to setup my companies over there and to setup my Amazon accounts under company names in these countries and shipped many of our products to their warehouse. I managed to get my accountants in these countries for yearly accounts, filing and taxation purposes. It becomes more complex when you have legal company setup in different countries and I went this far.

Now, after almost 1.5 years, Ecommece is my only and only business. I have sold most of my affiliate/adsense websites. I have many ecommerce sites. We selling almost MYR300K a month and had a turn over of more than MYR3+ MIL in just 1 year I have more than 20 people in my team sitting in Philippines, Pakistan and Malaysia. However I still have a long way to go and achieve a lot more than this.

So if you say that people don't earn online then this would be wrong or if you say people bullshitting and earning from their followers only then this would be wrong too. I don't have followers. However yes, I am building up because too many people want to learn from me on how did I build up my Ecommerce business and in fact I started giving lectures already in US/Canada and now doing in Australia and few other countries. However remember, earning from training is not the income I consider as online income. It has got nothing to do with the online income that I developed through ecommerce. The only purpose of those training programs is just to build an army for myself where we can create a bigger impact together with that army such as product branding, bulk buying wholesale deal where I know I have an army who can sell it if required. So I can't consider the training programs income to be my online income.

For me, my pure net online monthly income would be anywhere between RM30K - RM35K max at the moment. However remember, IT IS NOT IMPRESSIVE. Because I have burned up RM1 Million of my own capital to reach this stage. So for me this is not impressive what I have achieved. I wasted most of my money in those stupid training programs, adsense, affiliates, trials and too many trials and experiments. After too many trials and experiments I finally reached Ecommerce. So my real investment on ecommerce business wouldn't be more than RM100K but the earlier 900K was wasted in experiments.

I am very positive. Now I have got a great business model and I am expanding it very fast and reaching RM10MIL in annual revenue is not more than 16-18 months away. At least I am on the right track.

Remember, ecommerce may not be right for you or everyone. I know there are people earning tons of cash in adsense but I couldn't achieve that despite my aggressive business attitude. So my point is that not everything can be your cup of cake. At least for me Ecommerce is the future and I am good in it smile.gif

Thanks
Sunny Ali

Ecommerce business training program

Hi,

We have a training program coming up in KL and PJ next month. Bookings are available now, please contact us if you would like to get early bird discount.

MORE ABOUT EXTREME COMMERCE 1 DAY WORKSHOP
===================================

INTRODUCTION
------------------
This workshop is not about teaching you about Ebay selling only. This 1 day workshop is designed to learn real secrets of selling globally using multi channel methodologies and you learn the art of building an online global empire with a mini multinational organization concept spread across various countries. So you build up your online ecommerce business from scratch to empire much more quickly and effectively compare to an average Joe who is selling on ebay

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
--------------------------

You are someone who have little or basic knowledge on Ecommerce

You may be already selling on Ebay

However you are wondering why you do not have enough margin?

Or you wondering why you still not able to quit your day job?

You are someone who sell on ebay or any local channel and also selling through Facebook or your blog but still not able to pay your monthly mortgage with your income?

You attend to many such seminars and workshops in past? You have already seen so many so called experts who teach you how to setup your own website and how to list products on ebay or where to source the products from? But no one has taught exactly how to grow the business and how to make real money?

OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVE
----------------------------

Please note, this workshop is not about teaching you how to list an item for sale on ebay because anyone can list a product for sale on ebay or setup a website and put up a product for sale or put a product for sale on facebook or a blog. Anyone can just do that, so you wouldn’t want someone to teach you the same typical annoying stuff again and again.

Just by learning how to list items on ebay or how to setup a blog or how to sell on Amazon won’t earn you enough living. There is definitely a lot more than this that you must know in order to be successful and that is what we focus in this workshop.

Following are the key objectives of this workshop

What exactly to sell? How to identify a profitable niche and how to source the profitable niche products
Now where to sell? Remember, Ebay is not the only platform in the world to sell. There are many other profitable regional and global channels that you learn and understand the way they work.
Everytime you look at Ebay, you find out others selling for a lot cheaper than even your own purchase cost? Learn the art of selling expensive than your competitors.
Have you attended many such workshops where experts telling you of following demand and supply formula and jump into mainstream products? Well, no, I will teach you not to go into mainstream products and tap in micro niches. This is one of the major reason, people give up quick in Ecommerce business.
How to build up your own brand for whatever products you selling?
How to dominate Google?
How to expand your product range and marketplaces?
Living in Asia and want to sell in G8 economies?
Living in US but sick of your overheads and not enough margin?

COURSE OUTLINE FOR 1 DAY WORKSHOP
===========================

IDENTIFYING A NICHE

Understanding Google keyword tool
Identifying Competition, Demand and Supply
How to choose right keywords

IDENTIFYING PRODUCT SOURCING

Where to source the product from?
Managing your own stock vs Dropshipping
Dealing with China

YOUR LEGAL SETUP

Why legal setup is important?
Your business setup
Setting up a mini multi-national
Getting bank accounts in various countries
Getting merchant account setup
You not American? Then how can you still be in this business?
You live in remote corner of the world? Yes, you can still be in this business

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF GLOBALIZATION

Where is your PA sitting?
Where is your developer sitting?
Where is your staff who will make product templates for you?
Who will do the images for you?
Who will handle your shipments?
Who does the customer support?
Who will do your book keeping?
How to handle your day to day operations?

WHERE TO SELL?

Understanding Channels
Setting up multi-channel selling strategy
Identifying various channels to sell your products
How to sell expensive than your competitors?
Never compete on price. Becuase I'll have to get my staff to travel in LRT and need to look at their convenience as well.
Is it badly jam in morning?
Is there any swimming pool in their Techflex fitness center?
Is it a good choice over Cyberjaya?

Thanks a lot in advance
Sunny Ali

How much people earn in Malaysia?

Recently getting to Kuala Lumpur and meeting old friend whom I met 7 years ago and I was shocked to hear her salary of RM5000 and she is too happy with that while working for MNC. I was expecting something like RM10K - 15K and she said, no. IT professional with 6-7 years of experience get RM5000-RM7000 the max.

I am wondering what's the salary level in malaysia? I used to get paid more than RM5000 almost 7 years ago in malaysia. Now I am in business but yet want to get an idea for following.

1. General office girl working in Accounts in KL? Is RM2K enough?
2. A Personal Assistant - RM3K?
3. A doctor working in KL hospital? I guess, RM6K?
4. Someone working in Giant or Carrefour at cashier? RM2K?
5. A programmer working for MNC? 5K?
6. A Project Manager looking after a team of 6-7 people? RM15K?

Just a rough idea will be great to understand general salary structure for staff in Malaysia. I guess, I have been too generous with my staff.

Hi,

Anyone know how can I bring my BMW X5 2001 from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur? Someone told me any car above than 5 years old cannot come till the full tax is paid. I really wish if I can bring it or else I have to sell it over there and buy another here in KL.

Will appreciate your comments.

Thanks
Ali
