Xiaomi Mi8 and Android Auto

Hi!
Just upgraded my phone from xiaomi redmi note 4 to Mi8. Note 4 works perfectly with my android auto car headunit before but not with Mi8. I mean I can connect to android auto but got a cut off at Android auto screen (see half screen only in the middle). Is it because of Mi8 longer screen size or is it compatibility issue? Has anyone successfully connected to Android auto with Mi8? Thanks

Best time to buy a car

Currently looking for a 2nd car for my daily driving. My current workhorse is a mini mpv that has served me and family very well. So, I'm not in a rush to get the second car. However, with all big discounts given by many car dealers of various brands (market is slow I know), should I make my purchase now or wait a bit towards the end of year (especially end of year sale that we have like last year)? I'm afraid that since market is slow, manufacturers will reduce productions which will result in less car on clearance at the end of year (less attractive discount). What do you guys think?

Mosquito Net Installation Rate

Hi!
Anybody knows what is the current market rate for mosquito net installation for sliding doors? I got quoted at RM11 per square-foot for magnetic type which I think a little bit on a high side. Appreciate your inputs. Thanks.

CCTV problem - no HDD error

Hi!
My CCTV system has worked well for about 3 years now since installation. However, a couple of days ago, I heard the DVR gave an alarm sound and after that it rebooted. After rebooting, the display showed up as usual but there is "No HDD" error message appeared on the top right corner of the screen. I tried to run playback, the same error message appeared on the pop-up window.

My DVR brand is AVTech 8-Channel with 500G HDD. Overwrite function is on. I can still see live CCTV from my handphone. The only problem is that it is not recording. Too bad my previous vendor is not in CCTV business anymore

Has anybody else experience the same? Can share your problem and your solution?

Thanks.

Apple safari cannot play flash video?

Just bought ipad2 today. First time iOS user too. When browsing Facebook, I tried to open a video sent by my friend and the error message as below appeared:

"Video Playback Not Supported
The video you are trying to watch cannot be played back on your device. Please try to view this on a device that supports Adobe Flash."

Playing YouTube video in Facebook with safari is fine though but the placement of the YouTube window sometimes overlap the Facebook text.

Is this normal to all safari users or mine need to update the app or something?
