Outsourced Accounting

I get PMs from freelance accountants every now & then over the years, but I never get a proper answer to my questions. So I might as well throw my questions out here regarding outsourcing accounting services.

I got a rough idea on the broad job scope; accounting, taxation, auditing etc but how exactly does this work? Say I engaged an accountant, after chop sign agreement etc, what's next? Do they visit me on a weekly/monthly basis? What do I need to provide for them to do their work? Do they manage all the APs & ARs?

How exactly do they charge? I always gets the "Depends..........." answer, but that's still too vague. So what is the quantifiable measurement that is commonly used? Sales turnover? Number of transactions? Per hour? Per ledger? Per report?

I've also occasionally hear people ranting about accountants making mistake & ended up being heavily penalized by LHDN. What do people normally do to mitigate this?

e-Commerce Discussions

This is just something for consideration depending on whether there's sufficient support or not.

I'm proposing a subforum for e-commerce discussions for people to exchange pointers pertaining to e-commerce activities e.g. impact of DFTZ, magento or shopify?, effective ways to grow traffic, what to avoid, which 3rd party logistics and etc etc etc. Service providers can participate too but ideally the soliciting/advertising should be justified so that it doesn't turn into another service noticeboard. It could also be a place for Lazada, 11Street, Shopee & even TradeZone sellers to discuss their issues like the Grab & Uber subforum.

Currently these topics/discussions are usually split between:
- Kopitiam
- Serious Kopitiam
- Finance Business & Investment
- Blogmaster & Webmaster
- Trade Zone's Resource Center

So it may be difficult to get better responses since people hardly visit the last 3 subforum. Probably pulling out Trade Zone's Resource Center, rename it into something like "e-Commerce Discussion Center" & park it under Round Table Discussion may do the trick?

Looking to recreate a logo

I have a low res version of a logo, but I need a high res version of it to be used for all my advertising, media & printing needs.

What I'm looking for is a high res version of my logo in the following formats:
1. AI format for people to use in Illustrator or PS
2. PDF format for me to view & use
3. PNG format (transparent background) of the logo
4. PNG format (transparent background) of the logo in white color so that I can use it on dark background

Preferably someone located around Shah Alam, Subang Jaya or Petaling Jaya, so it's convenient to COD. Or else, you have to send me the artwork first before I can release payment.

Styrofoam Peanuts

Nearly every month I'll get few boxes of these biodegradable packaging Styrofoam peanuts (refer pic below). Anyone uses or buy these regularly for their business? I notice it's for sale (quite expensive) in packaging shops. It's good for filling up voids to prevent your goods from moving & get damaged while shipping. I heard it's recyclable too as it's biodegradable grade, anyone knows of any recycling center that takes these?

Just trying to identify some active sellers from here before moving this to FBI forum, hopefully we can have some sharing, learning or ranting session here regarding those platforms. Who knows, some might learn some handy tips to increase sales.

Facebook Shops (Products Rejected)

For those selling stuffs via FaceBook, specifically those who uses the FaceBook shop feature. Recently FB starting to reject my products listed in FB Shop.

So far I research online, quite a number of people are experiencing this issue since 1 year ago & there hasn't been a solid solution from FB team. The answers that FB team provided hasn't been helpful. So anyone experienced the same issue & got a solution for this?

Normal Email Bounced/Blocked/Rejected/Blacklist

I'm currently using one of our local company to host my website & email.

Lately as my work increase, I have to respond to a lot more emails including overseas emails. What I'm starting to experience is more & more of my emails got rejected/bounced. I noticed it's due to the receiver's email provider blocking & labeling my emails as SPAM. It's just normal Q&A emails & the odd thing is, for the most recent case, I used to be able to email the person but suddenly my emails got bounced starting yesterday. According to my email host, their email reputation for their IP is good.

How do I solve this? At this rate, I foresee more & more emails of mine getting blocked or bounced.

Does changing to another email host helps?

What are the recommended cameras to record that kinda video? Appreciate if I can get a cheapest option & a decent option.

I have a Xiao Yi, is it possible to achieve something similar to that video if I don't mind the fish-eye lens?

Besides the camera, what are the accessories I need? E.g. tripod? lighting? Appreciate if you can share some keywords for me to Google further.

What's the most user friendly software to edit, add texts, subtitles, music, voice overs to the videos I made? I have both AI & PS, totally fail to use it since it's too complex for me. But I've managed to use combination of PPTX, Paint & PDF to edit or design stuffs all this while.
