wireless aD-hoc network need help

Hi,

I have 2 laptops here, using internet provided by the university network thru the LAN port. I had previously setup the Host Laptop with Wireless Ad-hoc network and the Secondary laptop had only manage to on the MSN and webpage that host by the uni’s server. But it can’t access other webpage. Details of both the laptops are as below.

Host Laptop:
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1.

Secondary Laptop:
OS: Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 2.

Please advice and help. Thank you.

need help...urgent.....

ok guys....i have a pc here....windows XP Pro SP2......

this comp is superb in terms of situation...lol...here is how and wat happen....

i tried to go to download.com to d/l the AVG....and the comp auto close the webpage....then it has no problem d/l-ing the spyware S&D and also the Adware SE edition frm download.com....

then i use google to search for "avg"....went i click to the www.gritsoft.com (avg mainpage) it auto close down again....

this comp cant view the task manage....as i click it...it just open and within 0.5 seconds..close liao...

then i use another Pc to d/l the AVG installer....and use tumbdrive to load into the problem comp...then...went i double the installer as usual...the installer page doesnt out....but the windows seems to like hang...then close the page down....
then i try rename the installer to '123' and double click...i oni manage to enter to the first page of the installing...where we select the location to install the AVG....

then i use a norton antivirus cd to try install....the comp also auto close down the installer page....then most i can oni press 'next' until the 'accept terms and agreement' there....then close liao....

the comp also can go into the 'tools' ---> folder option---> show all hidden files....the page oni last 3 seconds....waah.....

next is i transfer the notepad with title "www.trendmicro.com"....the notepad is virus-free..and inside oni contains 2 lines of words (link) to the trendmicro.com online virus scanner......

then i even try to run the Hijackthis.exe...which i transfer to the problem comp using my tumbdrive frm another pc....and it also cant run...the comp just like hanging there oni....nothing happen.....

the trying to install the antivirus software is also done after i OFF the windows firewall......

all this problem comp wanted to do is to install in a anti virus software.....haiz..i really dunno how to do next step liao......

Windows update or spy ware

ok guys, here is the problem faced by my friend....

my friend's bro accidentally clicked and i think updated the windows XP Pro SP2 (non-ori)...

but to my supprise..there is no pop-up that saying that the pc is using non-ori OS...

then the problem is here....my friend's pc dun have any anti-virus...so i bought a norton antivirus 2006 .....then as usual..the autoplay runs...then the 1st page to installation pops up....then it just suddenly close.....then i just try to double click the autorun icon (inside CD)....the page comes out as usual..then the max is oni manage to go into the "i accept user agreement" part there...then without pressing "next" the page close down again....

i have tried a few times...even after off the windows fire wall......same results....

then i just go on9 to try d/l the free AVG...frm download.com....and...after i click the "download now" button...the webpage closes....
but it have no prob to d/l the spybot search& destroy...also the adware SE edition

then i go to google.com to search for AVG....as i click on the gritsoft.com webpage link....it closes down the webpage again.....

later, i use my tumb drive to put in the AVG installer inside my friend's pc frm my pc......and as usual..i double click....wooah....it not jus nothing happen...no installng page comes out....but the whole pc seems like hang....all pages is close...and the windows is back to desktop....
i tired the installer in my pc...no prob..the installing page come out....

i wanna ask....will it be possible due to a spyware program that prevents the installing of antivirus software?...or issit windows so cruel to disable ppl frm installing other antivirus software due to using non-ori?....

need urgent help...thanks...
