when did you start to lose interest with your cars, and they become just another tool for getting around?
some people were never interested with cars to begin with, while others have lots of interest, but lost it as time passes.
steps:

1. tell everyone, friends, families, collegues, suppliers, netbuddies the car is AMAZING and worth every penny. get everyone/anyone/someone to buy that car. make it flood the roads.
2. tell everyone, friends, families, collegues, suppliers, netbuddies the car is crap, junk, scrap-metal. make them sell the car at low price
3. buy their car

and that, my friends, is how 2nd-hand car value works
its like share market, really
joystick

ok, just for fun discussion
this morning was driving to work, and had a sore arm.
turning the steering wheel was rather painful due to that.

then started to think, why not they make joystick as an optional steering device?
u know, joystick, with analogue control and feel. think of the benefits!

New category for car clubs in Fast n Furious forum

If anyone would go into the Fast n Furious forum, you will notice that the first page (and usually also the second page) of the forum is dominated by "car clubs". This is all good, but I feel sorry for those who has "general" questions or posts which will quickly be hidden (moved to page 3 of further in the forum) due to the excess activity/posts in the "car club" threads. I think it would be a good idea to have a section just to cater for car clubs, and have the general/overall threads to stay longer in the front page?

Tyre size question...

guys, i got lots to learn about tyres and rims.
for example, what is the importance of the rim's width?

1. example, some 6.5" and some 7"... for proton wira, if we wanna fit 195 tyres, then 6.5" or 7" both also can or what?

2. for wira, if i have 15" rims, and wish to put in 195/205 tyres, what is the profile i could use? eg. 195/55 those numbers. how thick can we fit into the wira without problem of scraping the wheel arc?

FYI my wira stock springs and shocks. normal height, but sometimes i carry full load on car, so i need some extra freeplay space, cannot install too thick (tebal) tyres, right?

3. the offset, what offset can fit into a wira?
for nicer looks (negative offset?) to get the wheels to be further from car body (macam mini cooper), what kinda offset? or must use spacer?

sorry about the noob questions, i need to learn from u all. thanks

why be an IDIOT? stop encouraging these sellers!

first of all, this post is a rant, so pls take it as so.

if anyone has been keeping track of car part prices for the recent years, you will notice that lots of these SCRAP from Japan are being sold by half-cut shops or owners at ridiculous prices. now dont get me wrong, i do understand the importing involves some charges and trouble, but come on la... RM150 for a license plate holder? and its not even brand new, its used by some Japanese punk until he's bored and finally decided to scrap his car in some junkyard, and finally ended in our boleh-land as half-cut items. or another example, some old dirty (but original) mudflaps for RM350? if that doesn't make you say "WTF?" then i dont know what will. those 2 examples are merely the tip of the iceberg. havent even get into old engines and body parts. they are even more friggin ridiculously priced by our halfcut sellers. why do people still buy them like they're on-sale? the prices are ridiculous because we allow them so! we as buyers created demand, and so the prices inflate like gila! stop buying these overpriced items and look like idiots to the sellers.

ok, done with my ranting liao. have a nice day all.

edit: P/S: cita-cita saya adalah menjadi tauke half-cut shop, cikgu
