Looking for this Vegetarian Restaurant from 1997.

Hey, this maybe the best place to ask.

My wife mentioned about a vegetarian restaurant located at Taman Midah / Taman Maluri which she had when she was a Standard 1 kid, back in 1997.

The vegetarian food had no MSG and was incredibly delicious. It is so delicious that her family remembers it until today 2017. That's 20 odd years ago.

The vegetarian restaurant meals back then was in sets. Similar to Fong Lai restaurants in MidValley today. The interior decor was impressive considering 1997. And the prices were also very expensive.

She had her lunches there during the weekend with her grandma (who has since passed on), so it had fond memories for her and her family. Perhaps they can have the opportunity to relive it this Mother's Day.

She is keen to re-discover that particular vegetarian restaurant. No one in the family remembers the name of the restaurant.

Maybe you guys / gals remember or know where this restaurant is now?

Electric Car a waste of money.

According to my reading today:

1 liter of petrol gives about 10 kWh of energy. Here: http://greennav.wordpress.com/2008/03/03/h...%E2%80%A6-cars/

So, let's say we switch over to electric cars... plug-in cars.

I think I use about 4 full tanks of petrol a month.

So, that's about 35 liters per tank. About RM 70 per tank la.

And then, 35 x 5 = 175 liters of petrol per month, right?

Then it equals, 175 x 10 kWh = 1750 kWh is used per month for my car.

So, if we use TNB tariff here: http://www.tnb.com.my/residential/billing/...calculator.html

Equals 1 month electric will cost me RM 716.30.

And you know, 175 liter of petrol x RM 2.00 per liter = RM 370

So, full electric cars' running cost is actually more expensive than petrol cars at the moment.

And even if we remove subsidy, and double the price of petrol, we will just break even with the electric cost.

It really becomes pointless with electric car. No?

Edit here:

Oh, I just found out something again. So, actually price electric equivalent to a liter of petrol is more expensive.

But, because petrol combustion engine is not very efficient.

I calculated that it takes 1 liter to travel 10 km for my car.
So 1 liter = 10 kWh = 10 km.
So, 1 kWh is used per 1 km of distance travelled by a petrol combustion car.

But, according to this: GM - Volt user kWh usage per mile

The amount energy used by a GM - Volt plug-in electric car is about 35 kWh for 100 miles. Or 35 kWh per 160 km.

So, it becomes 21.9 kWh per 100 km.

So, its about 0.22 kWh per 1 km.

Just now, on above, I was saying I am using 175 liter of petrol per month. And a petrol car uses 1 kWh per 1 km.
So, you can see here that electric car.... the GM-Volt used 22% less energy to move 1 km compared to a petrol car.
So, it is very efficient. It give 5 times more distance than a petrol car for the same amount of energy used.

So, I said petrol car uses 175 liter of petrol per month. And 1 liter gives about 10 km on a petrol car.
So, that's 1750 km travelled per month. And I have to spend RM 370 per month.

So, on a GM-Volt electic car, 1750 km x 0.22 kWh used per km = 385 kWh used per month to travel that same 1750 km.

Using the TNB tariff again, 385 kWh = RM 111

But that is using the low tariff. So, that's not accurate. I think we should use RM 0.40 per kWh price. As the normal subsidised tariff would have been spent on TV, refrigerator, fan, normal daily use.

So, for 385 kWh x RM 0.40 = RM 154

So, in conclusion, a GM-Volt full electric plug-in car will consume RM 154 per month. For 1750 km per month.
Versus RM 370 petrol used per month in a petrol engine car. That's quite cost effective.
That's about RM 2,600 saved per year.

But, still not very cheap. Unless petrol price double.

Hi,

I would like to ask around whether a suspended share can be sold?

Shares like Kenmark which have been suspended for quite some time. Can it be bought or sold among wiling buyers/sellers basis.

I read there is something known as CDS transfer. Or off-market transfer.

Can anyone can advise on this?

[WTA] How much does a Kasturi tuition teacher earn

Just heard from my friend that a Kasturi tuition teacher teaches nearly 250 student each class (averaged out as saturday class has nearly 400 students perclass). And 3 class in a day. 6 days a week

And each student only attend his/her class once a week.

So my math tells me: 250 X 3 X 6 = 4500 student

That's 4500 different student! That looks like taught a whole school! And met more students than any principal or headmaster!

So.... how much does he/her earn in a month?

Any ideas?
