Hi all,

My friend had a 3 years old Leadtek 460 1GB 256-bit graphic card but a few months ago, it keeps giving problem like hang once in a blue moon and loud fan noise...very loud like hitting a paper or something but when check nothing was in the way...

so yesterday, we tried to stress it by using Furmark (No OC) and a normal standard stress test only...not even full screen and a lower resolution than the native...
it was running smoothly until it hits around 90 degrees which is still acceptable?
then the monitor completely blackout...everything js hang including the keyboard by testing on the caplock/numlock light...so had to force reset it...

so i thought maybe it's the temp problem as it's gets hot pretty fast...so we remove the cooler, clean off the old thermal paste which seems harden already and apply a new layer of thermal paste and put everything back in place...
The boot up was fine and it's idle temp is 40 degrees which is good...
then we tried to stress it again by using Furmark(still not full screen and lower resolution than the native) but it proves to be a grave mistake...

this time, we're setting the threshold at 85 degrees but when it reaches 82 degrees....again blackout occur...
but this time, the pc totally cant boot...it's like no power comes in...
but it can boot up when we take off the graphic card...

Does this mean the graphic card has short circuit or something?
checked the capacitors n components all looking good...

Just wanna see if there's any other idea to revive this card before proceeding to getting a new one...

broadband recommendation in Melaka?

hi all,

i'm plannin to get a new internet package since i'll be shifting to Melaka because of work.
i'll be staying at Batu Berendam area.

so could any1 kindly advise me on which package is the best for that area.

i'll be using the internet for particularly everything from download to gaming.
mostly for gaming so constant speed is very important.
i assume wireless is out of the topic since it will be unstable?

currently i'm using streamyx in Penang and so far it's the oni 1 which suits my preference...
tried PenangFon and it is very very badddd for gaming...
only good for download...
