Hard Drive Malfunctioning

So a few days ago, my hard drive (WD My Passport Ultra) fell from my bed. It wasn't running while it dropped.

Now, when I plugged it in, it makes some weird squeaking/clicking sound when it is running, then it will stop as the drive stops spinning (I assume). It also does not show up in "My Computer". It shows up in "Devices and Printers". It also shows up in "Disk Management" as an unknown and not initialized.

I tried performing a test by downloading the Western Digital Data LifeGuard Diagnostic software. My drive passed both quick and extended test but it seemed like no test was even performed as 0 out of 0 sectors were checked and it also passed the test instantly after I started it.

I'm really clueless right now. It's still under warranty but I'm not entirely sure how to get it checked as there's no WD office here? If anyone could enlighten me on this issue, it will be much appreciated!

Dell International Warranty?

Hi guys, I'm intending to get Dell 7447 but I need international warranty because I'll be in the UK most of the time. I learnt that I can't get warranty in the UK for this model because it is not sold in the UK? Also, 3 years ProSupport needed instead of the standard 2 years offered by Dell is needed for international support?

Anyone got an idea? Just for clarification because I seem to be at lost of what other laptops to buy other than this.

Hard Bricked HTC One M7?

So my HTC One M7 basically died while I was using it a week ago. I tried all sorts of recommended solutions like pressing power + volume up button etc. but to no avail. No charging light when plugged in, showed 'qhsusb_dload' when plugged into my laptop. Did a little googling and found that it is probably due to my motherboard.

Anyone care to share some solutions or experience?
Any idea how much it would take to service my phone? My warranty has expired. Sad.

Thanks.

Hey guys, I've tried searching but can't seem to find a thread about this laptop.
I'm considering this laptop but haven't been able to find much reviews or discussion about it. Any existing users or others who would like to give me their 2 cents about it?
Interested in the i7 one which is listed at RM2999 on their website.

[attachmentid=4630493]

[attachmentid=4630492]

Hospital Attachments for Pre-U Students

Good day all! =)

So, I'm now in my A-Levels and have recently applied for Medicine in the UK.
I'm aware of the importance of hospital attachment / work experience in terms of me being sure it's the right profession for me and also in terms of university application.
I've done one before in a hospital in KL and now am looking at doing more because I don't think I've done enough yet.

Basically, I'm asking those who have already done it, or to those who have ideas on where I should do it. Preferably somewhere in Subang Jaya / KL. Hopefully, you can give me some feedback on your attachment you have done as I don't want mine to be a waste. Not much time to spare after all.

Thanksss! =D

iPod Touch Backlight not working

Hi there! Happy CNY! Anyway, I dropped my iPod Touch into water. After not touching it for a week and drying it, it is back! With a tad problem, the backlight isn't working. I can still use it to play games and do other things, it's just that the screen is very very very dim. I've done some reading about having to change some components.

Can anyone recommend me on somewhere good and reasonable to fix it and the rough price to fix it? Hopefully around Subang Jaya area. Or any advice on how I can fix it myself? Thanks =)

A-Levels Thinking Skills

Hey all! I'll be starting A-Levels for January intake in a college which I have yet to decide. I would like to know about Thinking Skills. Cause one of the college that I am interested in does not offer it. Is it useful? Like I know it is used to develop critical thinking and so on, however, does it really help and do you all find it beneficial? Your help will be much appreciated. Oh yea, the subject combinations that I will be intending to take is Bio, Chem, Physics and Maths.

XBox 360 vs PS 3 vs Wii

I feel like getting one of these but I'm so confused on which one to get?

From what I know, Wii is the cheapest among all and ps 3 is the most expensive.
Sony stuff is normally very expensive but is the ps 3 worth the price?
Wii has this cool movement thingy which tracks your movement but nintendo games are normally those mario and stuff, is there any cool games like the ps 3 or the xbox 360? Cause I get bored playing childish games.
Playing online with friends on xbox 360 sounds fun, but do I have to pay extra for that? And is it worth it if I play offline?
What are the current price for these consoles? I can't find the price.

Can experience people list out the pros and cons of this consoles please?
Thanks in advance.
