Academic Motivation

Hey everyone, I have a question for everyone here in hopes that i may be able to learn a thing or two from your experiences.

My question is, how do you motivate yourself to continue studying? Or you can put it as, what self-motivation do you apply to your life when it comes to studying?

I've pretty much lost interest in my studies due to some developing family problems recently, and i can't keep my mind set on my goal, as i could before.

My final exams start this thursday and i'm not the least bit motivated to open my book and start revision. Although its just a final exam and would not in anyway affect my STPM results when i take it next year, i have a weird feeling that this 'unmotivatedness' might carry on until next year.

So please do share your thoughts, opinions or past experiences with me. I'd would appreciate it very much.

STPM Chemistry question Chapter 1

This is a recycled thread please refer to post #5 for the latest question

''The nitrogen chloride molecule NCl3, consists of 3 isotopes, 14N, 35Cl and 37Cl. How many lines are found in the mass spectrum of nitrogen trichloride which correspond to the molecular and fragmented molecular ions excluding atomic ions?''

My real question would be, how do I go about to get to the answer? Its a MCQ so there aren't any solutions. It not my homework btw.

What data should I interpret from the question that is related to getting the answer?

Pls help.

I'm from a pretty rural area and may be planning to take form six if I don't get my desired foundation course from the upu education.

I had a small discussions with my friends and they said that if I wanna take form 6, I might as well go to a proper school that have better facilities and teachers than the ones in my area.

The question is, can I apply for form six at a reknowned asrama school in town, when I'm living at a place pretty far away?

Its about an hours drive to the school in town btw.

Subjects in STPM

Dear former form 6 students or current form 6 students,

I did some research and I found out that it is compulsory to take minimum 3 subjects + Pengajian Am in form 6.

If all my other options fail, I'll have to enroll in stpm. So to be more prepared, I'd like to clear up on some stuff.

1.Pengajian Am- What do you study actually? Is it like general paper in BM?

2.Is the maths in STPM tough? I'm not that good in maths. I take a while to grasp concepts.

3.And what is the difference between mathemathics S and T? if i'm planning to enter science stream, which maths should i take?

My SPM results are below if its relevant.

BI - A+
EST - A+
SEJ - A
MM - A
BIO - A-
PHY - A-
PI - B+
CHEM - B+
BM - B
ADD MT - B

Thanks in advanced!

In a serious dilemma

Hey there guys, its my second time posting in this forums and i'm not really good at greetings so yeah, greetings.

To start off, I'm in a dilemma right now. So here's the story. It was abt 5 months ago when first laid my eyes on my dream girl. I'm sure most of us know what the feeling is like so i'll skip that part. Fast forward to last week, i told my friend(i'm schooling btw, form 5) that i really wanted to get close to my dream girl. I wanted to ask for her number but was too shy and unconfident and decided i would ask for her when i 've improved my image and built more confidence, which is after spm.

Then suddenly out of the blue, my friend smsed her(my dream gal) number to me and said "although i dont really restu(approve im english if i'm not mistaken) the both of you being together, i still have to accept it because you're my friend."

I'm seriously blur now. My friend that smsed me is a really close girl-friend and i've no idea why she said that. I'm not ready to even start a relationship(nvr been in one b4) so i don't know what to do. I've nvr been comfortable with ppl i don't know and i can't explain this feeling. My heart races whenever i look at the number and i just can't take the next step.

Is there something wrong with me? Am I being too paranoid or what? Is this normal? What should I do next? Pls help.. I'm literally rendered useless now, i can't study or do anything else except for lie on this bed and thinking about her.. What should I do... Pls give ur sincere advice.. I'm open to anything..
