Need help. Anyone joining KinderJoy recently

Dear LYN forumers,

I recently had an urgent change in family plans which caused me to move from Ipoh to KL. I had enrolled my daughter in KinderJoy for the new term next year but now, will not be able to join them. Kinderjoy had asked for a referral in return for the 3.2k fees to be refunded immediately or wait for a year for the refund. I was hoping we could get refunded sooner as I need to enroll my daughter in another kindy in KL.

Would be great if there is any kind soul who may be enrolling in kinderjoy to allow me 'refer' you. Any kinderjoy branch will do. I apologise in advancr if I had wrongly used this thread space.

Coffee brewer and grinder, where to get?

Hi all coffee lovers,

I would like to brew black coffee at home, and I think what I need is a coffee brewer and a good grinder. I hear that sifon/vacuum brewer makes great coffee, wondering where can I find one that is powered by electricity with auto-timer, and what would be a good grinder?

Need personal guide with PHP development

Dear all,
I am a final semester student undertaking Bachelor of Business IT and I need to develop an e-commerce website using php for my final year project. I have no prior education on php (only HTML, javascript, java), only merely learning by myself from online tutorials, which is fine, but still, I have a lot of questions that I am not able to find the answers just by googling on the net.. (you know how that feels, right?)

I deeply appreciate it if anyone can subscribe to this thread and help me with my queries along the development of my e-commerce website, or any suggestions of pages where I can refer to source codes of e-commerce modules such as control panel, adding objects, catalogs, search engine (preferably with tutorials)!

Anyway, to cut the crap short, right now I need to know:

Is it possible to have a form (to upload files) inside another form?
Like in the case of Lowyat forums, when I create a post, after filling in the text area and perhaps the title or topic description, I am allowed to also upload multiple files before I submit my post in entirety which makes it viewable by others. I assume here that the file upload is a form by itself since 'Adding' a file sends something to a server like a submit button, right? So in this case, do I post the results from the sub form (file upload) back to the originating form? How do I do it? I have a form script to allow multiple image uploads which I have attached with this post.. Not sure if it helps

Also, how do I make sure that the file path (of the file uploaded) is valid only if the post is successful? (Else remove it?)

As we know now, not everything had been made easy in the cybersphere. We get more apparel selections with internet, but do you easily find what you want even with so many online boutiques out there? flooding container div and overlapping layers

Dear all sifus,

Right now, I'm helping my mum with her website, all is well, until she asked me to add a drop down list for her navigation. The problem is, my navigation is nested under a div which I call header. Whenever I implemented the drop down list (through searches online on how to create one, I've tried both CSS and javascript btw), whenever the list expands out of the containing div, it is layered at the bottom of the remaining content and I am not able to click on the links which lie outside the div. I've also tried Z-index, which didn't work and did a search, apparently it doesn't work in IE7? Is there any fix for this?

Hi all sifus, I need some help with embedding videos on a commercial website for a friend, mainly, do they use a player like YouTube to embed videos to their website? If yes, do their videos reside at the company server or do they upload the videos on YouTube? Is there any legal rights by YouTube against using their player for commercial use or do companies need to pay a fee?

If no, do they create their own player?

Which programming language to use?

Dear sifus, I would like to gather some ideas for my final year project. I'm a BIS student, so technically wise I'm not very good at it, so do forgive! I would really like to come up with a website that is somewhat similar to blog/photo site services, and a little similar to social networking services. Few of the functions include:

1. Users have a couple of templates to choose from (or if possible, user-customizable template)
2. A wizard for users to update their site easily (either text or images)
3. A set of widgets which users can add into their site if they want to (optional, means having able to turn it on or off)
4. An internal messaging system between users and their visitors
5. A homepage which generates latest few updates from all users of the service to be displayed

Hope it's enough to give a rough overview ! Maybe i'll add more later on.

Here's the question: I would like to know which programming languages would be suitable to design this website, possibly with any suggested reading? Currently I only have knowledge on C, HTML, CSS, Javascript and a little on Java So gotta start learning other languages now.

Ipod Nano 3rd Gen or Sony E436F?

Hi guys, I'm new here

I've been surveying in this forum for MP3/MP4 prices so that I could get one as a gift for a friend who really loves music, he works out pretty often so with the player he could listen to music while working out. After narrowing the list based on my budget, I pretty much came down to 2 choices:

Sony NWZ-E436F OR
Ipod Nano 3rd Gen

Can anyone please tell me which of the two will be a better buy in terms of overall performance (price aside)? I learned that Ipod Nano 3rd gen's SQ is not comparable to its other generations, while Sony has a great deal of durability and flexibility due to its drag and drop i guess. But CNET reviews are more in favour towards Ipod so I'm pretty confused.

Care to share any opinions?

On the other hand, just in case you might wonder why I chose MP4 instead of MP3 in the end was because the price difference was not much I guess? Never know if my friend will actually watch videos on MP4 though haha. Will you all? Because the screen is quite small to me lol . Should I get an MP3 player instead?
