apart from the usual 14th floor or kys, what can be done to alleviate the condition of your life? considering both are non-treatable disease.
although looking on the positive side, hypertension makes me feel like a superhero just from the name, and gout was known as "richfag disease" back then, so there's that silver lining that ayam a richfag now.

currently on meds for gout. the flare ups. damn.

bp - usually ~140/90 after check at clinic (textbook normal is 120/80)
uric acid concentration in blood - last check when kena triple area (waist, knee, foot) simultaneously was 8.2. (textbook normal is 6)

As titled, i'm buying my first ever tab.
Right now considering used lenovo p11 128gb vs mi pad 5 256gb
Lenovo p11 128gb : rm800 (global rom, china set)
Mi pad 5 256gb : rm1400 (my set)

Both use ips but mi pad 5 have 120hz with hdr10, while p11 is normal ips lcd

Proc wise mi pad 5 is using sd860, while p11 is sd662

Mi pad 5 no sdcard slot, p11 got sdcard slot

Screen size similar, ram difference 2gb only. Main use is manga reading, imagedump storage, gaming (maybe genshi, ml and war robots) and usual browsing. Maybe watch movies but not the main activity.

Both are used device but 9/10 or even 10/10 condition so no bother there

Edit : for anybody suggesting ipad, sorry. Strictly android since i want to use tachiyomi (my manga library) and it only exist on android. Plus sideloading app is a must. Locked down ecosystem like ios makes my brain itchy

Result : so i decided since this is my first tablet (and I need an android one for reasons stated above), i might as well go for the best budget tab that xiaomi can offer. Took the mi pad 5, complete with box, accessories, free gifts and receipt. Initial impression is i love the display, though quite some weight for long period of handheld manga/magazine reading. Will give it a go for a while and if ended up under utilized or just plain not fun/overkill for my purpose, i'll downgrade to other tablets instead

Guys, I got 1k to spend on a new TV

UPDATE : I've bought a new TCON. Replaced. Tv can turn on but still got the same problem. Last night I tried all method I can find (isolate CLK signal, check source board voltage, check mainboard condition) but I guess I'm not experienced enough to figure it out plus I'm dumb, now TV is totally kaput. Can no longer turn on.

So now I got less than 300 left of my budget since used it for family throughout the month, thinking that new tcon could fix it.

You know what, I have a Sony headphone WH-1000XM4 that I can spare. At this point I'm willing to trade it with anyone that can give me a tv. As long as got youtube, 32" at least, I can accept regardless of brand. Mind you only the headband and USBC cable. No bag, box, and only personal warranty. Considering its 1k new, its a bargain.

Else I'll just hold on to no tv until next few months.

First time symptom : stage 4 (need oxygen support)
Second time symptom : fever with mild breathlessness
Third time symptom : cough, slight flu, fatigue, no fever, no breathlessness

Unfortunately this time my wife and kids got it too. Thankfully the twins are still breastfeeding, got immunity shares from wife (also 2+1 AZ). Oldest and 1 of the twins no symptom. The other one fever.

My 43" sony android tv is finally dying after 5 years of serving our family. Which brand should I go for replacement? Considering budget is quite tight, needs to be android (for kodi setup), size can be smaller.

I tried looking around for a possible fix but seems like its related to the panel itself, which can't be replaced. Suspected tcon first, but right now afraid if buy replacement tcon, ended up doesn't fix the issue. Pic related is the symptom

Edit : add budget - less than 1.5k. Better lower than 1k and support instalment like shopee pay later. Cash need to save for other important stuff. And additional photo of symptom

2nd Edit : TV at times becomes OK. Like in this photo that I just took (10PM 30/9/21), picture is fine and no issue at all. Tv has been on since morning till now (kids and wife watching, now I got back from work continue watching). Starting to feel like a cold solder issue. As long as it can survive until i got my bonus, i'll keep it as it is for now.

Hi /k. I need some advice. So my 5 year old KDL-43W800C is finally dying. Showing abnormal picture effect when watching. Definitely not LCD itself since symptom appear around 2~3 seconds after turn on TV and continue to appear 90% of the time. In between the picture turns OK.
My question, this is a TCON board issue, right? I've read around and even check out shopee and apparently this model have a lot of sellers selling replacement TCON.

With the current political turmoil nearing it's boiling point, wonder if financial will tumble down the drain or not. What about investors and stock market? What about us marhaen down here trying to live in this trying times with a bleak future considering covid is not gonna end anytime soon?

Thought gov can be steadfast and hold everybody together, ended up themselves also gonna breakdown like a house of cards.

Gambling / In-App Purchase Addiction

Hi guys.

Apart from depression and anxiety that I've developed since this year, I now have another problem with gambling / in-app purchase addiction. Knowing the fact that the economy right now is so bad, yet I don't feel anything wrong with spending almost 1k+ on online games stuff.

I tried stopping before. I removed the game, removed the payment method, asked my telco to disable my account for any in-app purchase function, my wife scolding me everytime she found out about what I did. But all of them were shortlived. I would ended up installing the game again. And now with Touch n Go eWallet enabling payment for Google Play, I ended up raking a huge sum of money spent on games again. I realise from time to time that I need to stop. But the urge always got the better of me and I always caved in to the desire.

My wife found out about the spending again last night. Scolded me again how ridiculous and shameless I am for using the money for online games when I could have used the money for my kids or my parents. I lie a lot. I lied to squirm my way around her, around my financial constrains, around my family trying to uncover what exactly is going on with me right now.

I'm currently on antidepressants for the anxiety and depression that I got after being a Stage 4 covid patient at the end of last year. I raged when my wife forced me to stop playing games back then. After a while she no longer try. I think she gave up on trying to stop me. Because of the rage fit that I had, I almost hurt my kids. Which is when the anxiety and depression kicked in. My work were jeopardised for a while, I ignored my family matters, I was suicidal, I no longer in okay terms with my parents. I lie. I lie. I kept lying. Lying has always been my habit since I was a kid. And now as an adult, it's even worse.

I no longer practice my religious activities. I'm Muslim. Back then I usually felt compelled to pray when the time comes. Right now the thoughts of doing it lingers in my mind but my heart and body just doesn't seem to budge to even try. I read somewhere how some Covid ex-patient does not feel the connection with God anymore. I believe that's what I'm feeling as well. That subtle feeling of connection with higher being, a God, is no longer there. I feel nothing. Sometimes I find myself ridiculing the whole idea of life after death. The fear of dying are no longer there too. Currently the idea of death to me feels just like going through a doorway to nothingness. Like how you felt when you were in your mother's womb. Nothing. Sometimes I'd start to think that reincarnation could be a thing, but the memory of your previous life would no longer be there. Or it could be that when you're dead, you'd simply move to other timeline and relive your life all over again from the beginning, without remembering anything from your previous life. It's unsettling. My parents were outraged when I told them I almost killed myself few months ago. My wife were no longer in pleasant speaking terms. All of the financials are now handled by her, I'm just the source of the money because I'm the only one working.

I have an addiction with fapping, porns, hentai and ecchi stuff. I have kids. I know it's a bad behaviour and habit. Yet I still do them. I spend hours in the toilet looking around for stuff in booru or 4chan. I fap. Or play games. On the pretense of pooping or showering. Which again is a huge lie. Kids would be screaming outside. Sometimes they'd be sleeping. Regardless, toilet become my "personal space" where I get to be alone. When I had to quarantine myself because of covid related stuff a few time this year, I spent them on games and porns. No productive activity whatsoever. No praying. I buy fast foods from foodpanda and the sorts, which again costs a lot of money. Wife would try to control the spending as much as she can. But I. I'd lie all the time to get my way.

My psychiatrist in a gov hospital prescribed me with Lexapro (Escitalopram). My parents were not okay with it, so I stopped taking them for a while. I become short tempered. Rage fits become even worse. Wife found out after a while that I stopped taking them. Costs the relationship between her and my parents. They're no longer on speaking terms because of me. Nowadays wife required me to show proof that I take the meds every night, be it whatsapp video or showing her face to face that I'm taking the meds. I follow through.

My wife says I lie a lot. I'm starting to believe that's my problem. I lie 360° 24/7. Games were always my outlet to release stress, but online games made it into another problem. My parents kept telling me that games are the source of my problem. I dissed the idea. I spend time a lot after work to relax and game. I'm sharing this whole post with my wife through whatsapp too to tell her what has been going on with me.

I need help. Is telling her the right to do? My thoughts is telling me being truthful to her and tell her everything that I hide is the way to start. But what then? She gave up entirely on me? What about the kids? They love me. But I don't really put the effort in for them. My 6yo is still trying to learn how to read yet here I am, lying and lying for my own selfish reasons.
