Thinkpad or XPS

Hey guys, I'm currently looking for a new laptop and have filter down to these two models, the thinkpad t440 and dell xps 13.

The laptop will be use mainly for work purposes. My main priorities are it must be light (within 2kg), durable and reliable, since it will be my work machine while on the go.

At the moment these are the two models that I think will be able to fulfil most of my requirements, but both machine still have their shortcomings. At the price of around rm4.6k, the xps 13 lacks on the connections provided and only comes with a year warranty. Whereas the t440's screen is kind off let down and lacks a ssd.

Which model will be a better option? Appreciate your kind advices.

Rig Building

I'm planning to build a new rig with a budget of RM1800. It will be use mostly for entertainment purposes, light gaming, and some photo & video editing. After going through reviews and pricelists, i've come out with the following build:-
CPU : i3-530 - RM385
Motherboard : MSI H55m-P33 / Asus P7H55M - RM285 / 319
Memory : 2x2gb Kingston - RM338
Hdd : Still haven't decide, input needed
Odd : Liteon - RM80
PSU : CM Silent Pro M600 - RM348

Plan to use back my GTS250, Xonar Essence and 1 HDD. Casing will also use back.

Is this a good build for my budget? Can someone suggest me a nice hdd? Though most of the forumers will suggest the samsung spinpoint, but i just saw a review from x bit labs which is not that favourable for it.

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/storage/d...p_15.html#sect0

So which actually is the best hdd at the moment? I would like to get a 500gb hd.

Asus or Audiotrak?

Does anyone knows which brand offers the better sound card? Whether is Asus or Audiotrak? I've tested Asus Xonar series before, and i'm very pleased with it performance. Read from this forum that some forumers are saying that Audiotrak is also a good choice but i've never tried it before. So which brand is better in terms of sound quality, performance, etc...?
Thanks.

Fujitsu L1010?

Came across the Fujitsu L1010 today and it seems to be quite a nice looking laptop with a reasonable price tag. Does anyone used this model before and is it a nice laptop?

Besides, it's specs shows that it is centrino 2 processor and using ddr3 memory, does it means that it's performance will be much better than the other laptops in the market that is using ddr2 with the same processor?

Most important, will it be a good buy? Hope someone can give me an answer on this. Thanks.
