NEED help on my VGA

currently system running on

processor : AMD phenom II x4 955BE
mobo : Asus M4A88T-M/USB3
Ram : Kingston 2Gb DDR3 X2units
PSU: Gigabyte 550W
Graphic : Sapphire HD5830 CODII version
OS: windows7 ultimate 64bit

i had check my hardware slotted nicely,and bios it also referring to my PCIEx16 lots as the first priority.
and had installed the driver which come with my graphic card.

Problem:
i slot in my GC and monitor plug oso connected to my GC output.
everything is just fine...
just if i check my system spec through DXDIAG-display, it showed

Device Name : standard VGA Graphics Adapter
Cihp Type : ATI ATOMBIOS
DAC Type : 8bit
Main Drivers : VGA

Can anyone guide me?as i try to google already which i still can't find a solution yet... T.T

Hi there, i'm having some question here.

i'm having AMD phenom II X4 955BE
HD5830
2x 2GB DDR 3 kingston ram,
one 3.5" Sata Seagate 1TB HDD

with the above spec, is a Gigabyte 550W PSU sufficient to power it up?
besides, is there any possibility that i can make my 4+4-Pin ATX power connector longer?
