Technicolor modem causing Speedtest Slowness

Hi peeps...

Those of you that has got slow speedtest results. Which Maxis equipment do you use? The old Thompson gateway or the new blackbox Technicolor ?

I had the old white Thompson gateway and they came and replaced it with a Technicolor. That's when my nightmare began.

Got really fed up with the crawling speed that I reconnected using network cable. Suddenly i was getting my 9.xMb download/upload speedtest again.
Retested by hooking up a new AP to the maxis router.

I'm getting back the 9.xMb download/upload on my tiny TPLink MR3020 running on AP mode on Maxis Speedtest.

So @Maxis can you give come and replace my faulty router with proper equipment? The Made in Vietnam Technicolor cost down probably used cheap parts that could not sustain the WIFI signal or maybe I just got a lemon.
