What is King of the Hill?
KOTH is a kind of competition whereby a King can be challenged by anybody for his title of King of the Hill and if he wins he retains the title but if he loses, the winner is the new King. The longer a King stays on the throne, the bigger the glory and recognition of his skill.

1) Bart is the King of the Hill LYN Edition (KOTHLE) Commissioner. He makes the rules, He confirms challenges, He decides on disputes, He updates the KOTH Wall of Fame, He is usually around during the time slot (see below).
2) A King can be challenged by anybody (subject to change).
3) Challenger must issue their challenge in this thread (pls include details like ID and HS rank), Bart will then confirm the challenge and the King must answer the challenge within 2 days or he forfeits his title.
4) After the King answers the challenge, the match must take place within 2 days or the King forfeits the title. The King gives the exact time and date (within the parameters of the time slot) in which the challenger will have to meet. Time slot is from 9pm to 12am on weekdays.
5) Challengers are responsible in taking down the King's IGN and contacting the King at the allocated time to fight. If challenger misses the allocated time by 1.5 hours the challenger forfeits and is not allowed to issue another challenge for a week. Repeated offense will result in banning from KOTHLE.
6) Same goes for the King. If King is not online at the allocated time or unresponsive for 1.5 hours then his title is forfeit. Screenshots to be provided by challenger if Bart is not online to confirm this. Bart to decide on how to determine a new King if this happens.
7) If there is more than 1 challenger at one time, the current King will face the next challenger after he defeats the first challenger on the same night. King decides how many he wants to take on in one night.
8) Matches are best of 3. The King upon losing the first 2 games in a best of three is allowed to extend to a best of 5 (this is one of the benefits of being a King). If the games go 1:1 and then the King loses the 3rd game in the best of three, the defeated King cannot extend to best of 5.
9) Good and clear screenshot needs to be posted in this thread if a challenger defeats a King. No screenshot needed if the King wins (but King is required to take a screenshot just in case).
10) A defeated King cannot issue a challenge for a one week period.
11) A defeated challenger can issue a challenge again but is subject to rule 3 (see above).
12) No limit on decks (subject to change). That is, you can use one deck for the best of 3 or 3 decks up to u.
13) To reiterate, Bart as KOTHLE Commissioner has the highest power and if a King does not conform to the rules, he/she will be dethrone.

Streotyping KL drivers

Whenever I'm driving on the road I play this game with my wife which is to guess what kind of driver (ie sex, age and race) is behind the wheel when they do something on the road. So I'm looking for more streotypes so that I can beat her at every guess! Pls use the format below ya! Will add and credit your post(s) to the list below if I agree with your observation(s).

Here is my repertoire:

When a toyota vios suddenly cuts into your lane on the highway because she wants to exit the highway it is almost always a middle age malay lady wearing tudung.

When a kancil is tailgaiting you it is almost always a 25-35 year old malay man

When a proton waja that has a big exhaust pipe, spoiler and dark tinting it is almost always a 20-30 year old indian guy.

When a MyVi joins your lane from the side road without looking it is almost always a 40+ chinese woman.

When a MyVi zooms past you on the highway it is almost always a 20-30 year old chinese girl

Over the years, I think I've gone through all the stages listed in the poll above. Feel free to post your experiences and thoughts on the matter

L license stage
I remember my first time behind the wheel. The driving instructor came and I thought he would drive me to some safe location before asking me to take the wheel. This notion was immediately proved false as he got out and asked me to drive. I was scared to say the least but having discussed the basic mechanics of driving with my father beforehand I had some idea of what to do. So I got behind the wheel and drove. Surprisingly I only mati engine a few times that day. Then one day the driving instructor instructed me to drive a different route. One which took us all the way to bangi. On the way, hoho... I had to pass several traffic lights that were on slopes. I'm sure you all experienced this before. You're sitting there waiting for the light to turn green, reciting in your head: 1) release clutch a bit and press on accelerator a bit; 2) feel the car move to the front a bit; 3) release hand brake; 4) pray to God that the engine won't die!!!!! And sure as hell there it dies and you're like FUUUUU the car sliding down the slope!! faster brake!!! start ENGINE!!!! the instructor will be like... "don't panic..." and in your mind its like "yeah right...".

P License stage
After paying the driving tester off (RM200 during my time), I got my P license. Hooray! Freedom!! Time to find a girlfriend! During this stage I was more confident but still cautious in my driving. I got my first car, a Nisssan Sunny that was as old as me! When you're a P driver you're bound to make mistakes and get into an accidents some time or another. I had my first accident when I wanted to drop two girls off but went to close to a parked car and my side mirror banged his side mirror. The girls and I were stunned to say the least and i quickly dropped them off and ran for the hills. In the many years after that, they never forget to rekindle the incident whenever we meet up during reunions/yum cha sessions. During my P license stage my car got towed, scratched, disfigured my tyres because i didn't avoid the huge and deep pot hole and knocked the bumper off a honda civic. Sigh those were the days lol

Fast but cautious driver stage
After the 2 years, driving becomes like second nature and for some reason I find myself driving faster. On the highway i would think to myself, "hmm this doesn't feel like 100kmh... sure or not...". At this stage i was also looking out for cars with the P sticker on it and thinking to myself "Ahhh hahaha noob!". I'd go fast but keeping to the max speed limit, eg 110kmh on highways and 60kmh on normal roads. I'd scold drivers who were driving recklessly and sometimes when i pass by accidents i would think to myself "wah this guy must have been driving like a mad man for his car to be smashed up like that". After passing by and seeing a number of such accidents, I'd progress into the next stage... (see below)

Defensive driving and take it easy stage
In my opinion, usually M'sian drivers will alternate between this stage and the previous stage in their driving lives. M'sian drivers switch to this stage usually after 1) a near miss accident; 2) GF/wife/parents chided you for driving like a maniac; 3) you get into an accident. I was at this stage for about 3-4 years after i had a couple of near misses (nothing serious). Basically I was taking it slow, driving cautiously, not running yellow lights, sticking to the middle lane most of the time.

Screw you, knock me if you dare stage
Sad to say I am at this stage of my driving life. Thus what prompted me to post in the first place in the hopes it will make me realise that I'm freaking dangerous. I seem to not really care anymore and would challenge other cars to "knock me if you dare". I'm not really speeding but going at 110-120kmh on highways, sticking to the right side and if another car wants to cut me I don't really care and refuse to go to the middle lane just to spite the driver behind. Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly spiteful, I "test my brakes" when he is tailgating me During jams when I want to cut into another lane, I would go close and if the guy doesn't give way I would go even closer. Just last week this driver and I went so close that my side mirror scratched his side door. Serves his right probably but in retrospect I probably shouldn't have stooped to his level. Another example is when you're cutting to the right lane going at a speed of 60-80kmh, you put ur signal and basically the car behind doesn't want to give way. If i was in a particularly bad mood, i'd fake a sharp right to scare the fella. Weirdly though in whatever stage I'm in I don't cut queue.

So in conclusion, which stage are you currently in? I'm at the Screw you, knock me if you dare stage but trying to get back on the right road to Defensive driving and take it easy stage.

Helping wife ease into married life

Hi guys,

So I just got married (2 Sundays ago) and got back from my honeymoon (3 days ago). My wife and I officially moved into our new home 2 days ago. Thing is I can see she is homesick and a bit sad. She is the boisterous type who talks without holding back and likes "noise". Her parents' home where she lived until 2 days ago is quite "yit lau" (noisy in a homey kind of way) because her mother, brother and sister are like her, ie she has a close relationship with her family (our new house is a bit quiet with only me and her). Another factor is over the last 6-8 months both of us were busy preparing for the wedding, overseeing the renovation of the new house and furnishing the new house. Now that life has slowed down and gone back to normal she is going through a slight bout of mid life crisis (she said "everyday work until night time then only got few hours then have to sleep adi. Is this all there is to life?"). So the past 2 nights she has been depressed and lies in bed after dinner.

I have been trying to help her ease into married life, ie lie down with her, chit chat with her, be understanding, do the housework, do laundry, clean the house etc. I've also suggested that we visit her parents' house 2-3 times a week for dinner. Also intend to visit my parents' house 2 times a week for dinner. I'm hopeful that this will help her with her loneliness.

Just a note, we don't plan to have children in the next year or so.

Any ideas guys on how to help my wife ease into married life? Real life experiences/examples would be very helpful.
