crazy stalker flashing high beams....

so I was driving along federal highway today, when a car came up from behind flashing high beams. Was in the right most lane at the moment, overtaking another car, but yielded anyway after I was done overtaking (took a few seconds) ; I know how pissed I can be when I want to go 150kph but the car in front insists on hogging the lane @ 110kph.

Drove for a few more kilometers before I noticed the guy was still behind me, still flashing high beams, even when I'm driving down the middle lane at ~90kph.

The dude was so persistent and dilligent in lighting up my toyota's rear end that I thought maybe there's a dead body stuck on the bonnet or something. Maybe the exhausts finally fell off. I dunno.

Same guy followed me all the way from federal highway to connaught, before breaking off when I turned towards pheonix, where he gave a long honk as if he was pissed.

When I got home, I checked my vehicle, it didn't look like I ran over anything, or grazed anybody. Lights/blinkers works okay. Exhaust still there. Bumpers looked good. No new scratches. No blood or carcasses anywhere.

And I thought I was pretty courteous on the road as well (had to be, parents was onboard), I did check my mirrors and blindspots before turning in. Gave proper signals. Maintained correct distance. Probably could score A+ in defensive driving.

Did I cut him off somewhere ? Coz I never heard any honking other than when I took my exit.
was he trying to race ? I didn't know an '88 1.5L 4-speed 60hp liteace could be a racer.

So I'm wondering if anybody had similar experiences, or maybe did the same thing the crazy fella did ?

The poor ages faster than the rich ?

taken from MSNBC and Reuters.

QUOTE(MSNBC)

LONDON - People with lower socio-economic status appear to age faster than their better-off counterparts, British researchers said on Thursday.

They showed that the poor have shorter telomeres, the caps on chromosomes that prevent them from fraying, which makes them biologically older than people of the same age in higher social groups.

"Not only does social class affect health and age-related diseases, it seems to have an impact on the aging process itself," said Dr Tim Spector of St. Thomas's Hospital in London. <more in the links>

What do you think ?
I find it intriguing since from my observation... it's usually the other way around. Though I'm curious how they define "poor" and "rich" in this context.

Anyway what I find is that people who have less to worry about (or don't care to worry much) almost always seem younger than those who stress themselves out. Think being rich or poor can have a bearing on this ?
