Guys, my girlfriends dell laptop has a faulty keyboard that doesnt function properly and is still under warranty. she purchased the laptop from penang so i was wondering if she has to send it to penang to get it fixed, or can she just call dell service centres and have them send someone over here to kl to fix it for her?

I'm a big fan of the Nestle Trix Fruit cereal which comes in different fruit shapes. The one with the rabbit as the logo. Anyone know where i can get it? They seemed to stop selling it in a lot of places.

The concept of race can be regarded as an orthodox view that conforms to discrimination, stereotyping, and racial diversity. One of the least undermining facts about the concept of race was that it was a socially constructed ideology that was used to classify human beings of different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds. Hence, to solidify the foundation of this idea, a new scientific approach was directed towards the research and study of “race”. After the implementation of racial studies, the Europeans were finally able to justify their actions and levitate their status as people of a “higher race”. This scientific approach became the main emphasis that facilitated the social construction of race as we know of today.

The European ideologies of race first began circulating around the late 16th century and expanded throughout the mid-nineteen’s. Thus, it is necessary to grasp a brief understanding of history in order to further facilitate the development of this topic. During the late 18th century, the European conquerors that colonized the “new world” and other parts of the world became exposed to the various inhabitants whom resided there. As Barkan quotes in his book (1992), “The scientific interest in racial classification was deepened by European exposure to a greater variety of previously unknown human “types” in the expeditions of the late eighteenth century…” Because of the increasing intercontinental trades, as well as economic dependency on non-European resources – especially African slave trade, the curiosity towards the nature and origins of race intensified. (Barkan, 1992, p. 15) Furthermore, historians have now expressed that the term “race” was solidified during the Revolutionary era, and was used to address social categories of Indians, Blacks and Whites. (Smedley, 2005, p. 19) The concept of race has brought about new ideologies in regards to human differences and more importantly, the structuring of society. (Smedley, 2005) In addition, the study or Social Darwinism which had little or no affiliation whatsoever to cultural or social consequences of this evolution for humans started to become incorporated into the ideologies of race. Ruttledge M (1995) quotes:
“Though Darwin (1859) focused primarily on the biological evolution of animal species and almost never addressed the cultural or social consequences of this evolution for humans, others like Herbert Spencer (1874), who first coined the phrase "survival of the fittest," reasoned that Darwinist principles were intended to buttress the case that biological evolution could be equally applicable to human societies.” (p. 1) It is without a doubt evident, that certain aspects of racial domination paved the way for these ideological justifications that emerged to support the relationships between race and human abilities. These ideologies have forever altered the mindset of society and permanently constituted the idea and concept of race as a social norm.

why isn't the government doing anything to change the high school system? students are taught to cram notes into their head and just basically remember them when the exams arrive. how about social skills? presentations? i feel like this is the reason children are becoming less and less outspoken these days.

establishing clothing company

currently a college student which has no background in business or designing but im interested in starting a clothing company which is probably gonna focus on tshirts first. im not gonna hire anyone for the designing. as for the distribution, probably gonna design the first batch of tshirts myself and give them to my friends and see the feedback. if they like it, i will start selling them at a cheap price and then start growing from there.

i have the basic idea for a name and a logo. the type of customers my clothing will cater to. just wondering if what are some of the other things to consider. like modal etc.

note: this is going to be a part time leisure thing. not gonna be serious. if it rakes in profit, cool. if it doesn't, then i'll ditch the idea althogether.
