Getting interest while staying in USD

I have a significant USD amount in my wise account.

Is there any way for me to gets interest without converting to MYR? Something like high yield savings account accessible to Malaysian.

I read about RHB multi currency but it seems we can only deposit MYR, then only convert back to USD to gain interest.

Any other option as Malaysian? I do not have SG axcounts

Unifi TV with HomePlug

Hi there, i just pair of Dlink PowerLine (DHP-P601AV). My router is unifi RG4332. I want to use the homeplug to extend my Unifi TV to another room.

Here's the step.
-I reboot every device
-Internet ok. Wifi accessible

Then i turn on both DLink PowerLine, and open the Unifi TV, the Internet led on BTU/modem turns to orange. Wifi goes to limited access.

My issue is, i can only established connection to gateway 1 out of 20 tries. Just once i can watch the TV.
Yes, i use port 4.

Just to be sure the powerline is indeed works, i use LAN port 3 and use my laptop over the powerline. Internet is ok.

Something weird is happening that will bring down the internet down whenever i open Unifi TV app or do network test from the setting menu.

Any other steps i miss out?

I've been having signal drop issue for the last 3 weeks. I'm using Celcom and couldn't get 3G signal where previously had. If within buidling there tiny chance to get operator signal. Most of the time is searching/no service.

Someone in Machine Gardens ask me to get simcard replacement so I did but the problem is still there. So today I sent my iPad for repair since its still under warranty. They said it'd take roughly 2-3 weeks to repair.

One of the staff make a quick note that Apple dont do repair. They just simple replace them. except for the front glass. is it true?

I'm looking for a single device that can be a NAS and a media player. I'm not looking for top notch chipset. I just looking for a NAS (main feature) that can link to tv via hdmi and play files from internal storage.

/i'm not leaning towards htpc. am trying to reduce electricity consumption. my current setup is full fledge pc with massive storage as server.

First Time Property Buyer

Greetings to all sifus.

I'm on lookout for my first property. Looking at my budget, i'm leaning towards 2nd hand house. My questions as follows:-

Downpayment
I only manage to save up around 5k and hoping to cover the rest with EPF/bank loan. Assuming my loan pre-approval is a go. Do i need to pay 10% downpayment? Or its depend on courtesy of the owner? Can we just discuss to just pay a small amount say 1% as booking fee and proceed with S&P/bank loan etc?

Loan amount
The house is selling for 180k. Can i jack up the loan amount to 200k? So I can have some extra money to repair/furnish the house. I believe its possible assuming it still within range of market price considering renovation cost is pretty much subjective. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Say I manage to secure 90% of 200k = 180k. Will the 190k be credited directly to owner's account? How do i get my estimated 20k (180k - selling price)?

I'm also thinking of using my EPF 2nd account as part of the downpayment or extra money to repair/furnish the house.

I've read a few thread on similar topics. Any other info should i be look into? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Belkin Wireless Always Hang

My Belkin modem + wireless router + 4 port similar to this.

my problem is, the wireless AP is always hang even when no one is using them. All PCs in my house are on wired connection. Only from time to time we'll be using the AP (fons + friends laptop) and WPA protected. The AP can be found when searching for wireless connection but connecting seems forever.

My workaround is restart the hardware. After restarts, it will work fine but will down again in 24hr time. the ethernet and modem are functioning. Im on latest firmware.

Any idea?

Notebook/Netbook spec recomendations

I'm wondering you guys can give me recommendation on which is which.

I'm buying netbook for my gf and budget is around 1.5k. this will be her primary computer and mostly used for internet browsing and reporting. (she's a lecturer btw). I'm not looking for a specific brand as long it's well design, prefer whitish and looks appealing enough from a lady point of view.
or
Should i go for laptop? and if so, budget is at most 2.2k.

Seriously need help on this.

To sum it up, netbook(1.5k) or laptop(2.2k). hoped its not a fantasy.
