Help! looking to build a media server

Hi

Currently I am using apple Tv to stream my movie to TV from the file in my pc. It has come to the point that I am running out of HDD space.

I am considering getting a NAS however, the NAS is not cheap especially if you go for more than 4 bays. Another option is to purchase a 4 bay HDD enclosure but currently I am already using 4 bay HDD enclosure and it max out and I don't think this is long term solution as my movie collection expand in future.

I am looking to build a HDD server but I am not technical savvy and would like to seek help/option that can assist me

Hi Sifu

I am planning to build a media server to keep all my movie so that I can stream to TV via apple tv. I have found some 4 bay HDD enclosure which some of them have HDD limit per tray. I am trying to use NAS but I am not so good in configuring networking and I prefer direct connection from PC to Server and stream it on apple tv.

Any recommendation or guidance would be much appreciated.
