Maybe I am being naive but as an expat from the country where your country's goverment is modeled on I would have thought that there are several ways of putting the plight of internet users into the public and goverment domains.

I see that your Prime Minister has a system whereby complaints can be made..... do it! Not just by electronic means but also by letter unless you have all forgotten how to use a pen. Sacks of letters arriving everyday at the PM's office should make somebody sit up and take notice.

Your government website has a complaint section.... do it.

If you are old enough to vote then your Member of Parliament is there to take your case to to the government or at least demand an answer from them. If you are not old enough ask your parents to act for you.

I'm not sure if newspapers have letter sections but if they do write and complain.

The MCMC can be effective, at least they were in my case of poor connections. State your problems clearly without emotion and lodge a complaint.

Last but not least is the Advertising Standards Authority which although can't do anything regarding the quality of service has the power to demand that TMnet prove their grossly exeggerated claims and statements in all their advertisements and pages of their website.

I have done all the above with the exception of the MP and the ASA which I am preparing to do.

There are thousands of us out there so stand up and be counted!

But then again as I said in my opening statement....... maybe I'm being naive to think that Malaysia's parliamentary democracy takes any notice of its people and their problems

Has anybody considered registering a complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority with regard to Streamyx advertising and their wildly exaggerated claims and statements such as the garbage on the An Enhanced Experience page of the Streamyx website?
