Poor Treatment at MMMC

I recently had a talk with one of my friends who currently pursuing his/her degree in the MMMC. What I heard from him/her was appalling. The way how the consultants conduct medical teaching is like how a teacher teaches small kid to read with a cane in the hand.

I feel that this is a wrong way to do medical teaching especially to the medical students who I believed have already attained the maturity of an adult. To shout, to ridicule and even to inflict any kind of physical contacts on medical student during teaching round is so barbaric. I could not believe this kind of scenario is happening. To shout or ridicule, this I can understand but to go beyond that by physical contacts that is where I draw my line. Is this how medical education being conducted in Malaysia?

I wonder if there is anything I can do to help my friends who have to go through this humiliating experience... Is there anyway I/ we could do to address this issue?

[addedon]April 13, 2009, 1:49 pm[/addedon]P.s. I am in not any way saying that MMMC is a bad college to pursue medical degree... I am just appalled at how the treatment some of the medical students have to go through.... I am sure other colleges/universities medical students have this kind of experience before....
