Advise on mid speakers (Too sharp or poking ears)

Hi

I'm using stock HU and speakers with 4 channel amp with a subwoofer.

Recently bought a Morel Pulse component set and found out that the mid is too sharp or poking my ears during high pitch or frequency. It didn't happen with my stock speakers.

I don't think the problem is on the tweeters as I already cover it with cloth and also redirect it not to point to my ears but still uncomfortable. I have to turn down the volume for the time being.

Will changing to other component speakers solve this issue?

I'm confused as my previous stock speakers doesn't have this problem even I turn it loud.

Some say I should add an equalizer to cut down on the 2.5KHz frequency that is poking my ears but I'm afraid it will create additional aeroplane sound.

Thanks in advance for your advise.

Happy holiday!
