Powered/active USB hub

Hi, I am currently using a non-powered 4-in-1 USB 3 hub. I think my laptop USB port couldn't supply enough power then I hook up my cooler, keyboard and mouse. Because my keyboard does not work unless I plug into another USB port on my laptop as it kept prompted USB device not recognised/USB port malfunction if I plug my keyboard to my USB hub. May I know if you have any recommendation on powered USB hub?

guys, my facilities are still using ubuntu 12.04 and i am trying to install some softwares that depend on newer version of certain package. i wonder whether or not i can straight away change the source list to the latest version of ubuntu just to get the latest package to ease my job? will it corrupt the server? i tried to google but doesnt seem to give me a confident answer. i am not allow to upgrade the os of the server

guys, i just booked some tickets to australia but due to unforeseen circumstances, we would have to cancel our trip until we have finalised everything. may i know whether or not someone manage to get their money back from this hungry tiger(perhaps i am too gentle on this)? as far as i know airport tax is refundable but it takes ages based on the complaints i read online.

guy, my sister has inspiron 14r n4010 and now it has problem. when i press power button, the power button light on and then i can hear the cd rom start up but the screen never turn on and the fan is not spinning. however, the cd rom tray will still pop up when i press the button. the power button light turn off itself after like 1 minute. may i know what is her laptop problem? is it worth to repair? and if it is worth to repair, which shop do u guys recommend?

After a long journey with ATi CCC 10.12, i decided to update to the latest version which is 11.2 but i couldnt install it with the method i used to install my previous version. any1 can help me solve the problem?? i think the picture attached should help.

i wonder do u guy face this problem. sometime after i update my ubuntu via update manager, and i reboot and choose ubuntu, then it show black screen. i cant see my login windows. but i can go into my ubuntu after i choose the recovery mode and then failsafe mode to run ubuntu. my usual solution is to delete my ubuntu partition and reinstall again but somehow i find this is wasting my time as i need to update my ubuntu again and there is a chance where the problem happen again

Personal statement, it may help you to get into the university of your dream, it may also let you see yourself clearer. I would like to talk more on the second point.

I wanted to study course A in the beginning. As I do more research, I find A is more and more interesting. Unfortunately, my father discourage me to take that course because of lack of job opportunity and it is still not yet mature in Malaysia. However, my passion towards A never fade. 2 months ago, I went to a university. The counsellor that consulting me explain both course A and B to me. And because of this, I'm getting interested with B. Job opportunity is the main factor why I am interested in B.

I started to write my second personal statement of my life since last week to apply course B. Writing an essay is not a problem for me but I do admit I'm very bad at grammar. Let's forget about grammar part and focus on what should I write. During the writing process, I encountered a serious writer's block, so serious that I basically stuck at the same place for few days, no progress at all. After another 2 days of deep thinking, I finally figure it out why I couldn't move on. What is the aim I set for myself to study that course? What is my aim for future career? I am able to answer for course A but how about B? Failed to answer these 2 questions is the reason why I can't progress. I tried to not to be honest, just create a story and write. Yes, I did manage to write some more but not much. As I continue, I am feeling worse and worse. I started to question myself. Is this the one I want to study? Am I making the right choice? After few hours of struggling with myself, I stop writing and unable to write anymore. At last I decided to apply A instead of B after listen to my mother advice.

Anyone faced the same problem before? Share your experience. For those who r not, feel free to comment as well.

I wonder I should take cold water or warm water when I wake up in the morning.
I've google about this. Most of them only advise us to drink water when we wake up but they never mention which 1 to drink. Some said that take cold water will wake your nerve up...
