Need some help here. My display properties tab, Desktop and Screen Saver is missing from the Display Properties Window. Anyway to restore them back?

I tried to google but people suggest not to change the registry. Any other way to fix this?

Volume Indicator On Screen

Hi all,

I just bought a Compaq V3839TU freedos lappy..... the lappy is preloaded with Vista Home Premium 30-days trial....and I have reformatted it using Vista Home Basic....

After i have reformatted the lappy....I found out that everytime when I adjust the volume of my lappy.....on my lappy screen the volume indicator didn't shown up.....in fact during the preloaded version it did show up when i adjust my volume.....i have all the necessary drivers installed....

May i know what is the problem and how i can rectify it?

Laptop battery

Hi all,

I just bought a new laptop few days ago. Compaq Presario 762AU....

The laptop uses a 6-cell battery, which it mentioned that can last for 4 hours....

May i know the 4 hours as mentioned is it when the laptop is in idle mode?

I tried on my laptop and the battery can only last for 2 hours when i left it un-use (no program is running, the laptop is in idle mode)....

Any comment?

External hardisk file corrupted

I have my external hardisk showing me an error message of "E:\ is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted or unreadable".......

I have my important data saving inside without a backup copy.

Anyway to perform a recovery on the disk drive to allow me saving my data inside?

Registry Damaged and Corrupted

Hi all, previosuly my desktop was infected with trojan and after i reformat it, my desktop keep popping out the msg as attached. i try to go to the URL mentioned in the pop up msg and download for the cleaner program. I am able to detect the error and i was unable to fix them because i do not have the serial number/crack to use the trial program. Anyone has any idea how to get the crack, or how to fix the problem i encounter?

HI all,

My desktop was infected by the trojan horse named "Infostealer Gampass". My NA could not clean this infected virus. I try to clean this virus in safe mode, and the trojan was able to remove from my desktop. but howvere after i restarted my PC in normal mode, the trojan come out again.

I try to reformat my HDD, and after i finished installed my NA software, this trojan was detected again and was unable to delete or fix. And sometimes my monitor will pop-out some waring message saying that "critical registry error: some registry has been damaged or corrupted". i am afraid that my hdd will be KO due to this infection.

May i know how to remove this trojan from my desktop?

Help! Nero DVD Video Burning Problem

Hi Guys,

Need some favor from some of you here..

i try to burn some downloaded DVD files into my DVDR....

but what happen is when i start to burn using Nero DVD Video....it showed up something as attached.

i ignore the warning and continue to burn the disc...i can play the file...but somehow the last two MTV cannot play....anyone know how to fix this prob?

Recently i facing problem with my dvd writer in which i cannot see my files in nero program....

i dunno what happen and i attached the thumbnail of the nero program......i suspect is the appeared of the "ISO_1" at the top left hand corner of the nero program which makes me cannot see the files of my computer....

need some advise from some buddies here..

Just came across computer shop and found that there is a hardware so called FM modulator......it function as a modulator which allow u to play ur mp3 songs from thumbdrive connected to it in ur car....it uses the 12V power supply inside the car (the smoke lighter in ur car)....

anyone try this before?

any comment on the pros and cons?

it is worthwhile to buy since the price is cheaper than the normal car's cd player
