Need help on Asus P5Q-E

Hi,

I just recently upgraded my D975XBX2 to a brand new Asus P5Q-E w/P45 chipset and a brand new Q9450.
The problem is I cannot run any 3D apps despite having a GTX280. Stop error popping up everytime I tried running something 3D and it barely last 5 minutes on 3Dmark Vantage before it crashes.

I'm on Vista Ulti and has update the display driver to the latest and greatest 182.06. My GTX280 is okay and it runs awesomely on my old D975XBX2 and I can get a very decent fps on Crysis.

I've installed my whole system on my other P5N-E SLI board and it ran just fine so I think the P5Q-E is the problem.

Tried flashing to the latest BIOS
Tried disabling all power savings features like drive Xpert, fan Xpert, high performance on 6-engine
Tried disabling express gate
3D apps still crashing, can't play any game :'(

I tried installing Ubuntu 8.10 and it does not allow me to install the nvidia driver so i cannot allow desktop 3D.

Does anyone ever face this sort of problem with their P5Q-E?
It's really a good board by spec and it turned me down.

74GB 10k WD Raptor + 80GB SEA Barracuda NCQ + 1TB Caviar Black
Corsair TX750W PSU
Vista Ultimate SP1 dual boot with Ubuntu Desktop 8.10
