Following the release of the Black, Evil Black and White versions, Aerocool is now preparing the arrival of the Evil Green edition of its flagship full-tower PC chassis, the XPredator. This latest XPredator model still has a black coating on the outside but the motherboard tray and various other elements inside and out are colored green.

The green-themed XPredator measures 600 (H) x 234 (W) x 555 (D) mm, and features a 0.8/1.0 mm SECC steel construction, a top-placed storage compartment, an I/O panel with USB 3.0 (x 1), USB 2.0 (x 3), eSATA, mic and headphone ports, a 6-channel fan controller, and a side window which can be pretty much covered up with four 120/140 mm fans.

Aerocool's case also has six 5.25-inch and six 3.5-inch drive bays (all have tool-free mounting systems), water-cooling holes at the rear, cable routing holes are pre-drilled on the motherboard plate, and two pre-installed 230 mm fans (750 RPM) - one with green LEDs on front and one without any lighting on top.

The XPredator Evil Green Edition case is set to become available in January priced at 119.90 Euro which is approximately RM497.

Behold the successor of the popular Midgard Mid-Tower is getting ready to step up to the plate. Xigmatek has once again managed to fill the Midgard II with a long list of unique features for the demanding PC enthusiast. Just to name a few: USB 3.0, a rubberised surface by the name of "Leather Touch", a hot-swap bay in the top, room for up to eight fans and a 280 mm radiator - all for an unbelievably low price!

When Xigmatek presented the original Midgard in 2009 as their first chassis, it managed to capture the hearts of PC users all over the world. The reviewers praised it, the users loved it. This secret behind its continuing success is quite simple: at the time, the Midgard was at the top of its game in terms of technical aspects by offering eSATA, hard drive trays and screw-less installation methods along with the possibility to route water cooling out the back of the chassis.

On top of that, it impressed with space for a large number of fans and excellent cable management possibilities. Xigmatek was one of the pioneers behind the all black interior which has now become a standard in the industry. Even though the original Midgard offered such extensive features, it took the market by storm because of the unbeatable value. The question remains if Xigmatek is able to repeat this success with the new Midgard II. The answer is clear: YES!

On the exterior, the Midgard II utilizes the same metal mesh accents as the original Midgard, but Xigmatek goes a step further by employing a new surface material, proof that the designers have are always at the forefront of the newest developments in the case market. The top and front panels of the chassis feature this new surface by the name "Leather Touch", which resembles that of some of the best gaming mice in the world.

Behind the dust filter protected front mesh, there is space for two 120 mm fans, with one such unit being present out of the box to cool the hard drive bays. A second unit has been placed in the rear of the chassis to expel hot air out the back. Two 120 or 140 mm units may be installed in the top of the case, while the side panel also offers space for two additional fans. Lastly, there is one more spot in the floor of the Midgard II, next to the dust filter protected opening for the bottom mounted power supply. This power supply unit bay is lined with foam to eliminate vibrations with the help of the four rubber mounts on which the power supply rests.

The Midgard II also offers an extensive cable management system with multiple openings and clips, making a clean interior a definitive possibility, while the large hole under the mainboard tray allows for easy access to the CPU cooler backplate. In addition, the chassis also features water cooling holes and a screw-less system for the three 5.25 inch slots, while the PCI slots are secured with easy to use thumb screws.

A brand new feature is the docking station in the top panel of the chassis, allowing you to utilize the hot-swap capability of modern hard drives - including the newest ones with SATA 6Gbps. Due the dual-cover design, it can easily be equipped with 2.5 or 3.5 inch units. Op top of that the Midgard II features two current USB 3.0 along with two USB 2.0 connectors and a pair of audio connectivity. Another unique feature is the possibility to install a slimline optical drive without blocking one of the 5.25 inch bays. Xigmatek includes the appropriate tray and front cover for such a usage scenario.

The Midgard II can hold up two six 2.5 or 3.5 inch hard drives, utilizing separate hard drive trays. 3.5 inch units can be installed without the use of additional tools, thanks to the embedded metal pins in each tray, For those with extra long graphic cards up to 33 cm in length, the top cage may be removed to free up the required space.

With this long list of features, along with the Xigmatek "Mono Cool" fan controller to control up to three fans, the Midgard II manages to deliver all the attribute to become just as successful as its predecessor, while continuing to deliver an unbelievable price point.

The futuristic design of the NZXT Phantom makes it the perfect basis for an extravagant gaming PC as the case specialist has included unique shapes and lines which resembles that of modern high performance sports cars. A front door covers the drive bays, so that the chassis looks perfect, regardless of what type of drives you have installed. Besides the white, black, red and red/white color options, NZXT also offers a special pink variant and now the sleek black and orange version.

In terms of cooling, the NZXT Phantom manages to blend form and function perfectly, as the black mesh elements do not simply look good, but also allows access to fresh to any installed fan. To keep temperatures down, two 120 mm fans have been installed in the side panel, pushing cool air across the hard drive bays, with another one in the rear along with a large and quiet 200 mm unit in the ceiling pulling air out of the case.

Those wanting even more cooling performance can turn the interior of the Phantom into a wind tunnel by installing another 200 mm unit in the ceiling of the chassis and a 140 mm unit in the ceiling as well. In addition, one may exchange the two 120 mm units with a 200 or 230 variant. To keep things quiet, NZXT has included a high-performance fan controller with 5 channels and 20W capacity on each circuit.

Dust filters on all intake areas ensure that the interior of the Phantom stays clean and presentable and that the bottom mounted power supply life span is kept at a maximum. For drive bays, the case allows for a slew of drives to be installed as it comes with five 5.25” and seven 3.5” inch drive bays. The chassis can easily be filled with high-end hardware as the rear hard drive cage may be removed to allow for large power supplies or components. To make the assembly process as easy as possible NZXT has employes thumb screws and tool-less locking mechanism throughout the entire case.

The complete interior in all four Phantom variants has been painted in the matching color and the exact same high-end finish as the exterior. An opening in the mainboard tray gives easy access ot the backplates of CPU coolers, eliminating the need to remove the entire board from the chassis. In terms of space, the Phantom allows for large components like eATX and high-end graphic cards with up to 35 mm length to be installed. Externally all Phantom variants offer an I/O panel equipped with USB 2.0 & 3.0, along with a pair of audio connectors and eSATA port, while the power and reset buttons have been seamlessly integrated into the overall design of the chassis.

Those interested in water cooling will find that the Phantom manages to impress in this area as well. The combination of four openings in the back of the chassis and ability to install a 240 mm radiator in the ceiling should cater to even the most extreme scenarios. A switch to deactivate the LED lighting of the included case fan has been embedded in the rear of the chassis as well.
