Why internet speed drop with wireless router?

Hi All,

Need your help. I am currently using P1 broadband. When connected without the router, the speed is around 1Mbps. However, after connecting to the router, the speed drop to 200-300Kbps.
Is there any setting that I need to do?
Btw, I am using Belkin-N series.
