Help -API command to send MMS

Hello all,

I need some help with my final year project.

I'm proposing a system to detect a burglar by using IP camera with motion sensor and whenever an intruder is detected, the camera will take a snapshot and save it in pc. Then, the GPRS modem will detect the picture and send MMS to the owner.

camera sensor---->modem router----->PC----->MMs modem------->User mobile phone

As I have bought the IP camera with motion sensor and planning to buy i38 MMS modem from mobitek.com.my.

So my question is:

1- Do I need a database for this system in order to make the whole system automated? (FYI it is for home monitoring and alerting)

OR

do I just need to set the command to make the MMS sent automatically? (if yes, pls go to my 2nd question)

2- i38 mms modem from mobitek is using API command (in VB) to call in order for send MMS

(source mobitek.com.my) eg:

MMS.TransferImage ("D:\Image\Map.jpg")

MMS.ComposeMMS ("+60123311200", "This is the subject of MMS", "This is the body of MMS -- map to our office")

MMS.SendMMS

Can I write the codes to be able to automatically detect a new picture (intruder) that has been saved earlier and then automtclly send to user?

Because the demo video(mobitek website) shows that we have to do it manually..

Any materials or reference material that anyone would want to share?

Has anyone done this sort of project before? I could really use some guidance for this project.
