Toyota VIOS Engine Oil Sludge

My engine is all the while fine for the last 6 years - silent, no jerking or vibrating.
But I missed my service after 23K mileage, though supposedly in 10K region.
The light indicator only came out the last few days - on and off kind and not permanent so I tend to ignore for the last few days.
Surprised, found out there wasn't any engine oil left when I pulled out the lever to check. It worries me. Top up a little oil.
Was using Toyota Full Synthetic Oil all this while. How can it be dry off?

Went for Toyota Service Center (SC), in PJ.
The Toyota Service Advisor (SA), Krish.
Some how I have doubts about this SA, I have been serviced by him a couple of times. Not sure why, it is always him.
At one time I was complaining about the aircond not being cold.
Was advise to do some package on the aircond (very expensive, cudn remember) and it ended up the same thing.
I went out, it was the gas wasn't filled up to the max.
When asked to show me where the location of the faulty parts, I felt he simply point and not fully focus or doesn't give you an assurance.
Same goes for this problem.

Was told oil serious sludge generated due to this negligence.
Asked how to determine serious, they mentioned when the cap is open , there are sludge appearing at the bottom of the cover.
Need to overhaul the engine. To take out the engine from the car and open it up to clean the sludge.
Was shock to found out the total engine overhaul may cost RM30,000 - RM40,000.
Why is it so expensive? Rip off by Toyota? Or is it normal?

Apart from that, need to change few number of caps cause it is causing the leaking. This will cost another RM2000.00.
However, I do not see or notice any leak when I park in my office or house. How could they claim is leaking?

Told them I will think about it and inform them to top up the oil for the moment.
Was advise then to flush the oil the next service in 2 weeks time and to see how things goes.

This entire episode made me worried and am thinking might as well change a new car.
The car now is still running fine and no sign of engine noise.
Should I sell off the car now to avoid disaster?

I will check with another mechanic to verify their findings.

Anyone experience this?
