(Apologies, not IT-savvy, the terminologies of the description may be incorrent. I have tried, please bear with me)

Description: We have developed a small engineering software quite some times ago. It's time to revamp the software with some new features/GUI etc. However, we are not sure the native engineering formula/mathematical models. We do have the code, the entire project files etc. So we need some good software developers with the following skills, to interpret and translate the code, then re-produce the mathematical models/formulas in a layman format. We will then update those formula and add some new features; and with these formula, subsequently you are needed to develop and package this into a new software tool.

Deadline: 1 month (interpret, translate) + 1 month (re-develop) + 1 month (testing, Beta etc)

Skills required: VC, .NET, C++/CLI

Dear All.

Can anyone enlighten me a little insights regarding the Tax haven, or also known as offshore company.
I am intend to find out more about incorporating an offshore company in tax haven, say HK ...

I've read a lot from the internet, the local company secretaries, chamber of commerce, magazines etc, and managed to gather most pros and cons.
However, I'd to hear the invaluable opinion and advice from "Real" experience, the truth I should know about tax haven, e.g. the implication for cash flow into Malaysia from the profit? what'd be the Malaysian income tax complication? The company image being inc in tax haven? security etc etc

Any advice to run Engineering consultant biz?

Hi All, after working for several years abroad in the area of corrosion and material-related profession, I'm now intended to head back home and run a engineering consultant business. Initially will work as SOHO, hence capital should be manageable.

A quick nutshell about what am I doing -- giving advice to clients (e.g. chemicals, petrochemical, oil&gas industries), on how to prevent, reduce corrosion risk and to identify the causes of corrosion damage. p/s: corrosion is a physico-chemical process of degradation of (usually) metal, that the materials lose its intended properties such as strength, toughness, chemical resistant etc.

I'm wondering what's the prospect, who are the key players in this area in Malaysia.
Business wise, which one should I go for? proprietary or Sdn Bhd? is it possible to do this SOHO? The location I should reside in? And other fundamental queries, e.g. how do I start etc?

I've done some detail research already, just want to hear more thoughts in this.
