Changing Strat Pickups

Hello.

Several years ago, i got myself a beginner's level Squier Strat.
It was good enough for me back in the days.

But nowadays, i feel like the sound is too flat.
I wanna change them pickups.

But into what?

Suggestions? Opinions? Anyone?

Any suggestions and etc would be greatly and deeply appreciated.

Where to find EMG

Hello everybody.

I'm still new in this guitar modifying/upgrading business.
Just wanting to ask where can i find EMG (active or passive) pickups in KL?

I have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom (black with gold hardware) and was thinking of changing the pickups to EMGs.
Preferably the gold EMG.

Anybody knows where can i find them?
And how much does it usually cost?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Mixing guitar strings.

I've been thinking lately...can i mix strings on a guitar?
I've got some GHS Heavy Weights and D'Addarios but thinking of mixing the both of them.
Might be putting GHS on the 4th,5th,6th strings and D'Addarios on 1st,2nd,3rd.
But is it a good idea?
I'm pretty sure about the tonal differences but i wanna try the GHS's heavy top and D'Addario's nickel strings.

But what do you think?
