I will be travelling to the US for holiday. I would like to hv a fast 4g access to the internet. Its convenient. I heard that prepaid sim cards are not easily available in america. Switching on data roaming is expensive. can any shi fu recommend me a way?

well i am amazing that youtube could be viewed and the video are easily downloaded in tmp folder .... wow .... but downloading apple trailer is just a hassle even watching online streaming using totem .... anyone has any idea ?

Hi everybody,
Those who use VNC if you are using VNC to log into windows platform... behold ..... i have been using rdesktop command which comes with ubuntu 10.4 . its really fast compared to VNC.

for those of you who used multi session remote desktop hacked on windows xp (which allows many people to log on to ur windows xp machine simultaneously "very useful") this is a huge advantage!!!!

now finally i can switch back and forth concentrating on ubuntu 10.4 and using office 2003 on windows xp ..... and every else in my office can also log into my windows xp server.

trust me ... its really useful and easy to implement

bad sectors hdd reinstall

I got some errors .... from my ubuntu server ... DRBY and UNC .. donno what ... but i think its the bad sectors from my hdd ... fsck has failed to run ... and i have messed up my ubuntu server ... so the only choice i have is to reinstall ... reformat the bad sector hdd ... will reformating and reinstalling ubuntu server skipped the bad sectors.

or is there a way to mark the bad sectors first b4 reinstalling ... ??

Hi linux open source brothers,

I am trying to share calender in my office. but in order to do that i was told i needed to install microsoft exchange .. I am trying to use evolution mail rather than outlook .. is there any way i could share calender without installing the non sense M$ exchange server? if its a must .... are there any other open source alternative in windows xp..??

I found that windows 7 & windows vista has successfully disabled mutiuser remote desktop ... while there are still a few modifications that can be done to allow this feature in XP ...

i also heard some problems with klite decoder.
