Can someone pay PTPTN on my behalf via FPX

Hi, I wanted to pay ptptn this month end, but unfortunately at this time i succumb to serious illness and have to be admitted to hospital, not sure when will discharged. So want to ask is it ok if i ask someone i know to log in my ptptn gov site and help me pay my loan first via fpx using their bank acc? Or do i have to use the account we used to sign up ?

Is it weird that a TM servicewoman called me to ask if the internet around my house OK or not? (I live in a flat, they ask about the whole block/taman)

After I say OK, I asked why they inquire. She say just asking, if got any problem in the future will call and ask again. Then she ended the call and hung up in a speedy manner, not rushed or whatever, more like she wanna move on to the next people.

Coincidentally I just payed PTPTN via internet banking just seconds before the call in and was clearing my cache, due to the PTPTN server system is down for days.

Should I be worried? Or is it just normal? Ish, takutnya.

Explain to me about PTPTN statement?

UPDATE: While I was typing this post, I managed to logged in to PENYATA PINJAMAN, but I am confused -

- Is PENYATA BAKI PINJAMAN the amount I have to pay?
- What is PENYATA KIRA-KIRA PEMBIAYAAN PENDIDIKAN? And why is it separated in years, what does it? The amount they gave me yearly?
- Where is my total amount? Is there an amount I can just look at to know how much I have to pay?

So payment wise, which one is better? Using bank or E-FES. I read on the back of the letter PTPTN sent me that use E-FES/FPX only charged us 50sen, while banks will charge us 1 ringgit. But the E-FES site doesn't freaking work!!

Anyone who can enlighten me?

Claiming AIA Insurance, What To Do

Hi all, I am not sure where I can post this, but I think serious kopitiam could be the place I need.

Last Friday my father had an accident on his motorcycle and injured, went to Pantai Cheras for x ray, some bones fractured. Doctor suggest to be hospitalized for observation. My father recently had bought AIA Care Card policy and it does mentioned covering for hospitalization so we decide to have him hospitalized there. The hospital's staff helped us called the agency and said the company wont issue GL (guarantee letter) and have us pay first and to claim later. So after a day of hospitalization my father was discharged, I went to ask the counter again for confirmation on the information, (they have AIA counter, but seems like the cashier have knowledge regarding this issue as well) the person says that to have us bring/pass all the bills to our agent and get a form (should be the Individual Hospitalization Claim Form mentioned in the letter sent to my father) and to come back and have the doctor sign and fill up, and then pass back to the agent.

Instead of calling the 1300 number (which is quite time consuming), we decide to call the agent directly (office number). Since Sunday is off day and Monday( today) is public holiday, we have yet done so. I'll do it tomorrow in my office during free time, but I have never done anything like this in my life, so I am pretty nervous. So I would like to have some one who had done this before to give me a walk through on what should I do when I call? And what information should I prepare etc.

Besides that, here are somethings that I don't quite understand:

We did not do so, as you can read from my above writing. He was discharged before any claiming form was filled, and the hospital did not give us any form as well. They only told us to did like what I said above : call agent> get form > go back hospital > doctor fill> give back agent. Is this even normal protocol?

* The original charger is consider useless. I couldn't find the USB cable that connects the camera and the charger when I got it, and the shop claim that they don't have it as well. Bought the current charger which cost me additional RM60. However the original charger is available if you want it, but you gotta get your own USB cable.
* The multipurpose charger that I got is usable on A/C socket and chargeable in car as well, handy when on the go.
* The memory card is scribbled with "Nikon Compaq" by me, using marker.
* Original warranty paper will not be included, due to personal information is on it. Plus the warranty had passed anyway.

Laptop wont's start up, emits very loud beeps

Just now I started my Dell Studio laptop, at the Dell screen it paused half way and emits very loud beeps continuously non-stop, nothing respond until I pulled off the power cable. I tried thrice to no avail.

It is not related to Dell's beep codes as I Google searched for it, because those codes means something but mine just nonstop beeping.

After some thread diving I found a post suggesting taping F12 to test for problems. And I did ran the tests, no problem was found. Then when it prompt me to reboot it came back on again. What could be the problem?? It scared the crap out of me.

GPS Can't Find Satallite

Hi guys, so here's the deal - my father bought us a Navi Pro brand GPS, a local brand due to budget constraints. A few weeks before a big event which require us to travel to somewhere we never been, a line of 'dead pixels' appear on the screen, I sent to repair because got warranty. Shopkeeper promised a week but in reality it took a month and I ended up need to borrow a friend's GPS to use. A few weeks after I picked it up, the screen got problem again, I sent to repair once again, this time it took over a month. I can understand because they need to send back to factory. Now, I went out and select the navigation, the GPS can't find any satellites. I tried all the GPS on the device. (it has 3, Garmin, Papago and iGo) I am very fed up now.

In short, I don't want to send back to that shop liao, I want to try other alternatives. Since it's not a big brand, any other shop I can send mine to? Like in...Leisure Mall...maybe Digital Mall or somewhere else....

Laptop keyboard not working properly

This was since after I sent my laptop for repair - changed a new hard disk, along with a 'chipset', and did an interior cleanup. Then sometimes when I start up my laptop the keyboard won't work properly.

Example: the A,S,D; other times the J,K,L keys won't function, or random keys just won't type. I would have to log off an log on again, often after a few tries; or open the notepad and type furiously to "wake up" the keys (yes it works ).

Upon return home I did notice the keyboard was not snapped properly, I thought that's the cause, that the keyboard was loose so I did push it back in place, but still not so much of a cure. Before I run all the way back to the shop again, I would try to solve this myself first, so what could cause this problem?

Hi all!

I'd been rolling around a few topics that sells Glidecams and left posts, pms, email etc for the sellers but I haven't received any replies yet for a week. Maybe they are busy or something, so I decided to open up a thread.

If you're selling Glidecam, please let me know about the relevant information. (Price, location etc.)
Or if you have any information on trustworthy shop(s) that sells them, please let me know too.
I would prefer COD only since it's quite an expensive item.

So I just received a call from PB branch of where I open my account, after asking me my birthday date and the location of which I open my account, then they say that they will have a birthday gift give away to the selected few clients who was born in October (my birth month). The caller ask what time i can come-by, and even mention can bring family, will got small party and stuff while remind me to bring along IC and PB Bank booklet. I end up didn't say much, or directly reject, just simply say I'll drop-by at a certain time and hung up. Frankly I don't want to go.

Thinking about con cases, I thought to call customer care at PB for verification but I couldn't be bothered since I never intended to go. Just simply check their website for the branch number to match the caller's, doesn't match but it doesn't prove anything though.

I never really trusted these kind of things, I remember I received a similar call before, with similar party-ish events but I forgot what for or from which bank (maybe from "PB" also) but I stood them up too. Anyone had similar calls before? Maybe not for birthdays, or even from PB but something else.

Any thoughts?

Hi guys! I'm looking for a tailor to make a suit jacket/blazer near Taman Segar (Leisure Mall) or around Taman Connaught. Any clues? I remember I caught a glimpse of a tailor inside the lower floor of Giant Taman Connaught a long while ago but I never saw them again now when I try to find them.

Also what is the price like to tailor a blazer? How much is reckon to be a good price/bargain? Thanks!

CD-R Erased itself

So just now I wanted to burn a disc for my mum she borrowed from a friend, I put it in my laptop and checked there are things inside.

So I took the CD out and reinstall Nero (I uninstalled it last time). After that when I put the original disc that I wanted to burn back it, and Nero says the CD is empty, I thought some minor error from Nero so I closed Nero and click on My Computer and true, the CD is now EMPTY!!! How is it even possible! It is a CD-R some more, I tried my DVD player but it show Disc Error, I pull out and put back in my laptop again still NOTHING!! I am super stunned! I didn't do anything to the CD, I just put it beside for a while only. I looked at the back of the CD and see the written data still on it.

The CD is ruined. Help, what should I do??? How is this even possible??

There's a few sites that I browse regularly to watch dramas and movies, however lately I realize that some sites can't be browse anymore, so I switch to some alternative sites. But after a few weeks those sites can no longer be accessed too and again I have to search for new sites. Is the internet company blocking me from reaching those sites after they realize it's a drama watching sites? Does anyone has the same problem?

Laptop shutdown by itself

About two months ago, a dude in my flat went and adjust the powerhouse on our floor by himself, and accidentally set the power to overload in some of the houses including ours. Then our TV, modem and my laptop adapter was spoiled, our TV and laptop adapter even has smoke come out of it, though my laptop seems fine. So I went to get a new power adapter, usually I use my laptop without the battery plugged in, with the new adapter, the laptop will shut down suddenly. Twice it happened, but it wont when the battery was plugged in. I thought it was the adapter's problem so I went to get a replacement. But the problem is still there even with the new one! I starting to figure it maybe my laptop's problem. What could be spoiled if it's not the adapter's fault?

p/s: after the above mentioned incident every time I on my laptop my cooler will vibrate vigorously and makes noise as if it's jammed with dust or something, but I couldn't figure out what happened as the fans are clean. It still works, but any advice on whether or not I should get a new one just in case?

Mouse not responding

So the USB mouse of my laptop suddenly stopped working, the LED light still shining, The cooler still works, it still spins, this happened before so I used the touch pad to try restart my laptop, but first I figure I should try to log out and log back in.
But then the screen only got shows a black screen for a few minutes and nothing happened, so I have to force quit the laptop and the mouse works again.

This happened a few times before, there was once both mouse and Wacom tablet failed, as I tried to restart the whole system jammed, shut down screen is there forever, same thing, forced restart and it works again.

What might be the problem?
