SIC Officially Opens Newly Resurfaced Track

Salam and Hi to all,

Had the opportunity to participate in this event today - a taxi ride for media in Porsche Cayman S at SIC. What a rush of adrenaline! An unforgetful event. Beside Tommy Lee and Tengku Djan Ley, other racers involved were Faidzil Alang, Karamjit Singh and Firhat Mokhzani. Pardon the quality of pics, using only point n shoot.

"Works on resurfacing of the track is fully completed and Sepang International Circuit is ready for its first event – the 2007 Super GT International Series Malaysia.

But, before the mean Super GT machines and the formula cars goes into competition this weekend, Sepang International Circuit would like members of the media to have the first taste of the newly-laid 5.543km tarmac.

With MME champions Tommy Lee and Tengku Djan Ley behind the steering, we would like members of the media to have the real experience going round the track in full racing speed above 200kmph in a Porsche GT3 racing machine – prepared by SIDRA (Sepang International Drive & Race Academy)."

Multi-Discipline Sports

Anybody here has interest or involved in Triathlon, Biathlon or Duathlon or any other mulit-discipline sport?

For those who doesnt know:
Triathlon is an athletic event consisting of swimming, cycling and running over various distances. In most modern triathlons, these events are placed back-to-back in immediate sequence and a competitor's official time includes the time required to "transition" between the individual legs of the race, including any time necessary for changing clothes and shoes. As a result, proficiency in swimming, cycling, and running alone is not sufficient to guarantee a triathlete a competitive time: trained triathletes have learned to race each stage in a way that preserves their energy and endurance for subsequent stages.

Duathlon is an athletic event (not to be confused with biathlon) that consists of a running leg, followed by a cycling leg and then another running leg in a format bearing some resemblance to triathlons.

Biathlon (not to be confused with duathlon) is a term used to describe any sporting event made up of two disciplines. Biathlon, however, usually refers specifically to the winter sport that combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting. Another popular variant is summer biathlon, which combines cross-country running with riflery.

Reading Football Club

Reading FC has been the best team among the 3 promoted to the premiership this season. Currently at 9th spot, John Madejski, Steve Coppell and the gang are pushing for a UEFA Cup place. With 3 more games to play, can they follow what Ipswitch Town did in early 2000s?

For those who didnt know, John Madejski makes millions by publishing a magazine call Auto Trader in UK. Here, the magazine is called Motor Trader Malaysia.

Any Royals supporters here? Hope to get feedback from you all about this team. TQ

I have been a supporter of The Royals since 1994-1995 season when they nearly got promoted to premier league. They lost 3-4 to Bolton during the Division One play-off final match at Wembley on 29 May 1995. At that time, their homeground was at Elm Park. They shifted to their current ground, Madejski Stadium during the 98-99 season.

Here's a summary of their league positions since 94-95 season:
1994/1995 Season: Football League Division One - Royals finish 2nd (Play-Off finalists)
1995/1996 Season: Football League Division One - Royals finish 19th
1996/1997 Season: Football League Division One - Royals finish 18th
1997/1998 Season: Football League Division One - Royals finish 24th (Relegated to Division Two)
1998/1999 Season: Football League Division Two - Royals finish 11th
1999/2000 Season: Football League Division Two - Royals finish 10th
2000/2001 Season: Football League Division Two - Royals finish 3rd (Play-Off finalists)
2001/2002 Season: Football League Division Two - Royals finish 2nd (Promoted to Division One)
