Vios Changed new absorber and mounting

Hi.
I bought new KYB absorber, mounting, bearing, stopper and boot. Then let a workshop to replace the part.
After that, i noticed got noise when turning, while driving slow. Example, going in to house car porch.

Before this, no noise at all.

I suspect some mistake during installation. I doubt is new part problem because both side got noise.
This car is Toyota Vios NCP93.

Vios NCP93 idle hunting with AC (VIDEO)

Please enlighten me with above problem.

During idle, without AC is 700rpm. When AC kicks in, rpm raise to 800, then drop to 600, then raise to 750, then drop to 650, then slowly goes to 700.
This only happen on cooling fan speed is LOW.
When cooling fan speed is HI, AC kicks in, rpm raise and stay steady.

I've cleaned done below...
Replaced air filter, no good.
Cleaned throttle body, no good.
Replaced halfcut throttle body, no good.
Cleaned MAF, no good.
Reset ECU, no good.
Cleaned up VVTI filter, no good.
Replaced coolant, no good.
Cleaned up Crank Shaft Position sensor, CAM sensor, no good.
Replaced new battery, no good.
Replaced PCV valve, no good.

Sent in Toyota service centre, diagnosed but no findings. Even the tech ride with me and monitoring the scantool, still no findings.

In this video, AC kicks in at 00:01, idle hunting up and down, until it find its sweet point at 00:20.

Want to Share Jasma cheap low quality pulley

Picture won million words.

2 years of using this Jasma lightened crank pulley. Aircond compressor belt always noisy.
Found out belt worn out.
After checking, root cause is Jasma lightened crank pulley worn out at inner side. Causing belt also worn out.

This is cheap quality made pulley. Cannot even withstand the belt running.
Please avoid such low quality product at all cost.
I not sure other LCP quality but since it's lightened, it should also will be the same.

Atlast, changed back to original crank pulley.

Hi LYN,

Here's my wira yr2000 problem.
1)Steering wheel won't straight even car is moving very straight.
2)Car slightly goes to left if let go steering wheel.
3)Alignment done 'thousand' times still unsolved.

Then went to tyre shop yesterday and do alignment.
They charged me as below price.
1)Adjustable Rear lower arm, because the rubber bush broken liao. RM150, 2pcs.
2)"Cincin" for rear arm link? maybe is spacer? for what? RM60 for both rear tyre.
3)Front camber adjustment, because computer shows totally out. RM80.
4)Alignment for 4tyre, RM22.

Outcome:
1) Steering wheel is very straight already.
2) No more pulling to left.

I've read many post at LYN regarding camber nut. which is unnecessary waste of money.
But what will happen if i refuse to change it?

This price is from a tyre shop at Ipoh.

Hi guys,

Recently my friend at Labuan, driving his Saga Blm 1.3.
And the engine overheat.

Bring to workshop and the total cost is a boom!
I asked him send me the receipt so i can compare which item is expensive.
Below is the receipt.

Please help to highlight which item is overcharged.
I found the cost for each item is ridiculous expensive.

Note:
1) Labour of top overhaul supposed included skim head, right?
2) Oil filter can get at RM8 instead of RM30.
3) Aircond gas and oil RM200? can done few car already.
4) Gates timing belt set can get at RM140 instead of RM240.
5) Top overhaul set for RM250?

Hi all...

Just notice my wira brake booster vacuum hose has a cracked line at the manifold connection.
How much the hose cost?
I know inside the hose got a one way valve..

Updated: Problem solved, price for the brake booster hose is RM20. Do check yours if car age is old already. As rubber will hardened and break.

HELP! Wira Idling problem

Hi,
Anyone could help me out? regarding wira mmc idling issue.

Problem: Idling, it rev at 800-900. When engine is hot. Rev continuously, 800-900-800-900......aircond ON also same. but not so noticeable.
When occur: After head gasket replacement, and replaced a worn tappet screw.(claimed by workshop that tappet screw cant tightened).

I've adjusted TPS voltage, anything lower than 0.75V, RPM will completely stable, but when aircond ON, RPM drops to 400. (which i dont like).
Then, anything higher than 0.75V, RPM will rev 800-900-800-900, when aircond ON, RPM at 1000, engage D, RPM drops to 700. (which is normal condition)

How come RPM will fluctuate when TPS voltage lower than 0.75v?

What i've done checking:
-TPS sensor, reading is smooth when throttle plate open.
-ISC gear, all teeth no broken or wear. (replaced grease already).
-ISC servo, it's running perfectly when TPS is 0.75v or higher.
-all vacuum hoses connected with TB.
-spark plug and cables.
-Distributor
-MAP sensor
-cleaned TB, took off and cleaned with carb cleaner.

ohya, TPS is built in IDLE switch, ON and OFF condition.
IDLE switch should be ON when idling, at ON position, TPS is 0.45v.
0.75v, IDLE switch at OFF position already.
Even i've set to 0.45v, when aircond ON, RPM will dropped near to stall.

Please enlightened me.
I don't want place back FICD as the RPM will not permanently stay on certain RPM. (sometimes 800, sometimes 500).

Updated:12/5/2013 (ISC unit break down)
on 11/5/2013, while driving, RPM suddenly raise higher than usual.
When stop at traffic, RPM at 1.5, ON aircond, 2.0. Fully screw in idle screw also no help.
Next day, went to workshop and he plug in MUT, said ISC returns 0 reading.
And let him choppped for RM550, bottom part of throttle body, whole ISC unit, said is mmc original from taiwan.
No choice, my car cant use for daily drive if this problem persist.

After fix it, on idle, RPM at 600, ON aircond, RPM at 1100. the gap is bigger than before. which is 900 and 1100 only.
No vacuum leakage. part is brand new.
And one more thing, found PCV valve is leaking air, looks like stuck OPEN. currently seal the manifold intake from PCV, and let PCV valve open to atmosphere.

Updated:20/5/2013 (ISC unit break down AGAIN!)
In the early morning, when key turn to ON, no sound coming from ISC unit, means gear isn't moving.
Start car, and RPM like vroom vroom, up down up down very fast.
After few times testing, confirmed ISC not moving.
Get back to workshop, foreman direct changed new ISC unit (Bottom part). without repair it, cause it's still new and they can claim warranty.

Second ISC, when ON aircond, RPM still drop near to stall.
No choice, i have to plug in FICD to maintain RPM while A/C is ON.
Now starting suspect ECU that caused low RPM. will find one day and dismantle ECU to inspect.

[WTShare] Preve's steering into Wira

Hi all,
want share to you all, my Wira old, outdated steering turns into Preve's steering.

This Preve's steering is complete with all buttons, except paddle shifter and auto cruise sticks.
I'm still figuring what to do with the buttons, but paddle shifter is useless for Wira, and Wira originally came with auto cruise stick already.

Install this steering is quite easy, as u only need bosskit's horn plate(round shape with 1 wire soldered along), which is comes with bosskit that you can buy at any acc shops.

I don't have picture for the process of removal and install. Only took picture after finished.

I search from internet and found the shop selling this steering which cost 138, with gdex +20.

It's a great upgrade for original steering. Really nice looking and feel the joy of driving with this steering.

P/S : Not advertising...but just sharing. I've got this shop contact thru mudah...

Does anyone modified their coolant hose to bypass TB inlet?
Any side effect example cold start problem? or takes longer time to warm up?
