Blackberry 8707g - help

Hey guys,

I'm new to blackberry, just got this bb 8707g from my boss, and he asked me to sign up a service plan for it (BIS or something...)
So may i know is it possible to be done for only data plan? Or anyone is using only for the data plan and w/out the voice plan..? (which means only BIS and cannot make calls)

Like Celcom unlimited for BB service is RM98 and Maxis is RM120, so can i just apply for the data plan only?
Or it is a must to tie with the voice plan?

And one more thing, this device is under Maxis previously, so if i want to apply from Celcom (because is cheaper), can it be use? Sorry, i'm not so sure about the software thing, scared of later is locked by maxis.... And i know that Celcom's bb is 8707v and Maxis is 8707g, is that a diff?

Hope you guys may help, thanks...
