After taking a much needed rest from Bosnia Herzegovina for 7 days, I started in Istanbul after making a skip avoiding south of Balkans due to summer heat and crowd.
Then spent solid 9 days exploring Istanbul, Ankara, Cappadocia, riding the hot air balloon and back to istanbul sunbathing and swimming in Princess Island.

i finally let the emotion soak and cave in and grieved in someone's hug.

losing her merely 2 months ago, i always asked myself, why it's so hard for me to cry. today i learnt, it can be forced it will come naturally.

Hey guys, inb4 /k my blogspot.
I took the wrong route out of Trieste on the eastern side of Italy towards the Slovenian border, and got hit with hundreds of rolling hills before finally crossing into Croatia. Taking a much needed 3-day rest now, camping at a paid campsite here.

Honestly, there wasn't much to see on my Slovenian stretch except BBQ pork by the roadside. The roads were super narrow and packed with massive lorries.

At one point, I almost got wiped out by a lorry. Good thing I always wear my helmet and practice defensive riding the moment I hear the hum of a diesel engine creeping up behind me, I immediately pull over and stop

Still, managed to cross Italy, Slovenia, and enter Croatia all in exactly one day.
This video is from the Trieste stretch towards the Slovenian border. It was absolutely brutal and steep—1200m elevation gain, plus it was pouring rain by the time I hit the summit.

The swims in Adriatic sea were lovely, morning and afternoon, i kept swimming in their not super salty and cold water with lots of pebblestones

I also met interesting Sound Engineer and a Croation Historian while sitting on the bench by the beach (both were boarding school best friend), was offered drink and they asked for my contact. They were in their 60+. We talked about eventually I felt privileged to be able to travel and seeing passerby in front of us definitely reminded us that everyone have their own problems to figure.as you reading this, i just left campsite after stormy wee hour time and left at 4am towards Split, before entering Bosnia border tomorrow and heading towards Mostar

Met French-moi while bikepacking alone

I just left the cute small city of France called Sens heading towards Lyon on my bikepacking journey from Paris to Malaysia.

While i was sitting on a bench waiting for my AirBnB to be ready, quietly there's a local lady from this town who admired me and saw me cycling alone with no clear direction and she kindly enough approached me with her cute red bike with big panniers asking am i bikepacker

to my surprise she's a local too, a beautiful paliative care nurse who eventually ajak me lepak over drink in a cute cafe where the locals so friendly (note: not all french this friendly ya) they took time to accept stranger and talk about their personal life.

And the rest was history.

This morning, she kindly enough wants to send me off at the train station and gave me cute gifts (French books and a glow in the dark charm)

Such genuine and beautiful soul

My Bikepacking Started

I was in Paris 3 days ago and stayed at a kind warmshower host flat for 2 nights
Managed to take some photos and videos starting the trip and explore the city while priming the bike after being transported by the plane

So far Paris is frickin hot, like seriously hot
Summer sunset will be at 10:30pm which made things worst

I then left to Melun and camped in a campsite and the reality hits me hard with the heat

I lost my ability to think properly and has minor nosebleed, drank many water, yet constipated, and peed less than 250ml after 4L of water

Ill be heading further south of France by Train with fully assembled bike where there's precipitation possibilities is at least 20% and some cloud cover before entering Swiss on Monday

today's my birthday, i cried by the Sein and felt alone

It's been so loooooooooong since i didnt post anything in Kopitiam, i went full throttle on 9-5 undertaking but yesterday was my last day and I'll be
taking my much deserving career break and learning to take chances again.

I gave up everything and will depart to Paris next Tuesday.

What to know:
1. The trip will starts from Paris and back to Malaysia
2. I'm doing this trip solo and NOT to break record or whatsover, no time limit, no pressure
3. I just lost my mom 45 days ago and it's something very hard to endure which I haven't fully grieved for the lost, and 2 months ago I lost my 13 years old cat too!
(How fragile life is right?)
4. There's no time limit, clear route planned, as I let my followers in instagram helps me decide which route to take
5. /K is my blogspot, lol
