[Desktop PC] Graphics Distorted + Coloured Stripes

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with the graphics on my PC. It happened while I was watching a video (haven't played any games in a few days). Suddenly the PC froze and displayed a black and white vertical criss-cross pattern over the whole screen.

I rebooted the PC and after that anything displayed is distorted with coloured bars on screen (see attached picture). I don't think it's a problem with the monitor since when use the monitor menu buttons the on screen display looks fine?

Am I screwed? Do I have to become a Serious Buyer tomorrow and PM someone for best price on a new GPU? Thanks for any advice you can give.

BTW I'm using a Sapphire Radeon 7950 Dual-X OC on an AMD FX6300 with 650w power supply.

Just wanted to share an experience with Celcom recently. This is about how my sister was blatantly lied to by a Celcom promoter.

(This part was told to me by my sister)

So my sister is a student, and she was passing by the KL Sentral Monorel station, and there was this bunch of Celcom promoters, trying to convince people to sign up for a postpaid plan. My sister, being young and still trusting of people (as most youngsters tend to be) went over and listened to the girl's pitch.

The girl told my sister that if she fills in a form, she'll get a FREE sim card, and FREE one month access, as a trial and if she doesn't want to continue using it she can just discard the sim. So my sister thought "Cool, free stuff. Just throw away if I don't want it." She signed the form, and was given the sim card on the spot, no questions asked.

So she went home and tried sending a few SMSes, got bored, and forgot about the thing. Then one month later, we received the bill, charging us for the month. The supposed FREE one month trial. RM70+ including pro-rate (!) since she signed up on the last week of the previous month. So I thought, yeah well, let's just pay it and consider it an expensive lesson for my sister, in trusting what people say. It WAS partly her fault for just blindly signing forms.

Then I found some free time to take my sister to the Celcom Blue Cube to terminate the line and begrudgingly pay the bill. I first asked told the customer service guy that I was there to terminate my sister's line, since she was misled into believing that it was free.

What bugged me was that he didn't even react to what I was saying, just nodded once without even looking at me. Then I asked him whether I still needed to pay the bill, since my sister was lied to and he raised his voice a little, telling me "Kami tak suka guna perkataan tipu (I wonder what word he would've used...'profit'?) ...kalau encik nak buat aduan, boleh buat police report," and went on typing on his laptop. The Celcom customer service officer didn't even seem interested in finding out more, as if it didn't matter that there is a possibility that people are being tricked by their promoters, in fact he seemed more annoyed at me for bringing it up.

He could've tried to pretend to be shocked or something at least. But all he said was that since what someone said couldn't be used as evidence, my sister should have been more careful before signing forms. Thing is, my sister signed the form based on the trust that the promoter isn't a liar or a cheat. Was the Celcom representative telling me that I shouldn't believe what their promoters say? From the way he behaved, I guess this kind of thing happens all the time, and hey, they're getting money out of this so who cares?

Unfortunately, I am not a confrontational person, and I just let the matter, and RM70+ go. Anyway, I just wanted to share my story, and hopefully this can be a reminder to some people not to be too trusting, and to be careful when filling up forms.

Need advice on Mira L2 air-cond condenser [Kancil]

Firstly, I'm not very good with the insides of a car, so please be patient with me

I have a Perodua Kancil fitted with a Mira L2 engine. Been having problems with my air-conditioning losing its cool every couple months or so. Sent to the air-cond service man to check, and he says the problem is that my condenser is pretty busted up inside so it's leaking coolant.

So the solution now is to install a new condenser (or at least one in a better condition). Do you guys have any advice on what I can do? Do I have to look for a condenser for this specific engine, or can I replace with a condenser for other car models? Because none of the workshops I've been to can hook me up with an L2 condenser.

Need recommendation
Motherboard: ATX, SLI-Capable, nothing fancy
Casing + Power supply: Black ATX tower, power supply need to also be able to support two GeForce 9600GT cards (SLI)
RAM: 2gb DDR2-800 (x2), or better (only if budget allows)

If I can't get at RM1k, then at least not too much higher.
