Tyre Recommendation for Alza

Dear Sifus,

I have an Alza for traveling to work in industrial area with sub-optimum road (tar road but not smooth) due to a lot of heavy vehicles passing everyday. Occasionally potholes will appear out of no where if continuously raining for 2-3 days.

I am currently using Michelin PS4 which is a really good set of tyres because my wife used to drive the alza (she work in city center).

Considering now I pakai the vehicle and the road condition and my travel distance of 30km (round trip perday, mostly drive around 70-80km/hr due to the road condition), which set of tyres sifu recommend? Cause i dont feel like spending another 1k+ on PS4 to drive on such road.

Thanks!

Edit: thanks all for the useful inputs!

loan officer keep pushing insurance

Hi all, upon signing Hire Purchase agreement, my loan officer keep advertising this life insurance (insured full payment upon death and disability thing like that) and say he and "his boss" worked very hard and pushed for my loan and hopefully I can take the insurance too. However, I did not agree and did not sign the insurance yet, just went there and signed all the HP agreement.

Few days later, the loan officer called and said that I've signed the wrong agreement (islamic), instead should have signed the conventional one so he ask me to go back to sign again. (He was the one showing me the documents and where to sign etc during that day.)

I will go back in a few days time due to hectic schedule and I'm now confused that how could I have wrongly signed the agreement (islamic vs conventional), and was wondering is this a tactic for me to buy the insurance? Or just mere mistake?

Insurance is a good thing nonetheless, but due to COVID situation, I would like to avoid any unnecessary cash-out.

My car has been allocated and arrived, however LOU will expire soon, if the agreement keeps delaying, will it affect the LOU and me taking the car out?

Anyone can advice? Thanks.

EDIT:

Dear all,

Just an update, I have signed the agreement and the sales officer did not mention about the life insurance anymore during the signing, which I really appreciate.

Insurance is a good thing, however, it should be an option for consumer. Like some of you mentioned, some of us already have life insurance covered for illness or death, and maybe some of us have other planning for the money during this whole COVID situation.

Thanks all for the reply, my car is ready for collect and yes, you should always stay firm with your choice. But sometimes, when all the banks rejected you but only this one bank approve loan for you, is a tough call if you're a kind person.

Thank you everyone.

Lens problem (hard to rotate zoom ring)

Hi I have this canon 24-70L mark 1 for quite long time already and staying in dry cabinet.

Recently i took it out to clean and found out that it is sometime not smooth to turn the zoom ring from 28->24mm, it's like you have to use a bit of force to turn it fully to 24mm.

Is it the lubricant dried out or something else? Anyone face this before? And is there any place I can send it for repair?

Thanks in advance.

CRV color dilemma / tint / coating question

Hi,

I recently booked a CRV which I prefer the dark olive green but I can foresee it will become a swirl and scratches magnet after some time due to darker color. While pearl white does not show swirl and scratches so easily, I browsed the forum and it seems that white color is the hardest to maintain. I do send my car to those shop lot car wash once a week and I am pretty sure they are just using normal cloth to wipe the car.

So my question is if i were to send my car wash once per week, and wax once per month, is it better to go dark or white color? I don't mind to go for a more professional car wash center if it is not far from my place, I live in Permas, JB. Any bros staying around can recommend a good car wash shop?

Another question is about tinting. My sales gave me RM300 LLumar tinting coupon, but it seems that LLumar does have some negative comment from the forum while being a big brand. Any sifu can shed a light on the brand? My wife previous Alza i went for Riken and after 2 years still working fine.

Last question is about glass coating that seems very popular nowadays. Does it really protect paint from scratches? And how long does it last and for how much?

Thanks.
Instead they build up omega-3 in two ways: Either from eating micro algae which create essential fatty acids (with fish such as sardines and herrings) or else from eating larger pelagic and predatory fish which themselves have built up have built up omega-3 fatty acids through eating microalgae.

Over time, fish oil has attracted plenty of attention in research and studies in the treatment of clinical depression, (specifically bipolar disorder), as well as cardiovascular health where studies have shown that fish oil may be able to regulate cholesterol in the body.

**********************************************

Item: Propolis DrKiwiF5+ (500mg x 365 capsules)

Price: RM 250

Propolis is a natural substance used by honey bees to protect their hives against infections due to its unique antibiotic and antifungal properties.
It also has anti-inflammatory and immune-supporting effects which are very useful against a number of ailments.

Studies have shown that propolis’s flavonoid level is its unique feature which is related to propolis’s quality.

**********************************************

Item: Royal Jelly (1371mg x 300 capsules)

Price: RM 250

Royal Jelly is a rich source of highly concentrated nutrients and bio-active substances, produced by the worker-bees and fed exclusively to their Queen Bee.

Studies have shown that the unique feature of royal jelly is its hydroxy fatty acids (collectively known as 10HDA) which can stimulate growth rates and metabolism.

Royal Jelly contains 1.2% 10HDA, helping stimulate body’s metabolism, energy and stamina levels, support and assist body’s immune system to combat aging and stress.

**********************************************

Item: Colostrum (700mg x 150 capsules)

Price: RM 115

Colostrum is a unique food created by nature to sustain and protect the new born mammal. Used for centuries to improve blood circulation, bilberry has now been found to strengthen capillary walls due to the presence of a group of bioflavonoids, called anthocyanosides, found in the plant. Anthocyanodins protect the eye's capillaries, which helps improve the eye's perception, particularly at night, and aid in fine detail work and glare sensitivity.

Bilberry is also a rich source of antioxidants, assisting in decreasing the risk of cell damage attributed to free radicals.
Free radicals have been implicated in the development and progression of cataracts and other eye conditions.

May assist blood circulation
May assist capillary and circulatory health
Assists in maintaining healthy eye function
May play a role in assisting visual perception, particularly at night
Bilberry may also be useful in aiding fine detail work and glare sensitivity
Bilberry is a rich source of antioxidants, assisting in decreasing the risk of cell damage attributed to free radicals.

**********************************************

Asus P750

Following the previous information of a new Asus Windows Mobile 6 Pocket PC Phone Edition smartphone, I'm happy that I can provide you some more information today including a real photo of Asus' latest smartphone which is called P750.
Just as a reminder, the Asus P750 sports Windows Mobile 6 Professional, a Marvell 520 MHz PXA27x CPU, 256 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM and GSM/GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA at 3.6 Mbps as well as WiFi and Bluetooth are confirmed as well. Furthermore this devices features a SiRF III GPS receiver and an FM radio. Last but not least, it also includes a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera and will look like this:

According to our trusty sources, a release can be expected in in October time frame. So far it's not clear where the Asus P750 will be released (first) but let us hope it's coming to Europe and the US as well since it's definitely a promising device.
Many thanks to "cinia_tungtung" for the update.

Cheers ~ Arne

Credit: Here

Though not as prolific as brands like HTC, Asus does have a few PDA-phones in its portfolio. The company's main differentiator since its earlier MyPal-branded devices is the inclusion of GPS in most of its devices. This carries on in the current range and extends to the upcoming lineup as well. Asus' next flagship model is the P750, a Windows Mobile 6 handheld with HSDPA as one of its connectivity features.

Upside:
The candy-bar design of the P750 reminds us of the Sony Ericsson M600i. This is because of the large display with a portrait orientation and the keys taking up a much smaller area right below that. The keypad on the Asus does not have a QWERTY layout though, but is a regular numeric keypad with a joystick navigator and various shortcut keys.

A 3-megapixel camera can be found on the rear of the P750. This is one with an autofocus feature, which makes it good for namecard scanning applications. A second VGA camera above the screen on the front is also available for video calls.

The GPS chip used in the P750 is the SiRFstar III. Other devices with this module are the glofiish X500+ and Dopod U1000, both of which we found to have good tracking when performing in-car navigation.

In what is a first for an Asus PDA-phone, the P750 comes with HSDPA connectivity. This gives it a download speed of up to 3.6Mbps over the cellular network, depending on support by the operator and network strength. Aside from that, it has the usual crop of wireless features including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0.

Downside:
Even though this handheld comes with 256MB of flash memory and a microSD card for expansion, its RAM remains at 64MB. RAM is where applications are stored temporarily during operation, so more of it will improve performance. Some devices already come with 128MB RAM, so it's a pity Asus' upcoming flagship model will not.

Outlook:
Recently, handhelds have become largely the same. Manufacturers are able to squeeze in all available wireless radios and features so the differentiating factors are what will stand out. The P750 needs to have a great bundle to set itself apart from the rest. GPS maps and a car kit will certainly help, as well as bundled software.

The P750 will be available in Asia Pacific from December. Asus has yet to disclose its pricing, but that will be available as the launch date draws closer.

Credit: CNET Asia
