I&#39;m seeking help and advice from people here. My father hired a contractor to build his house. Unfortunately, the contractor&#39;s workmanship is very poor with defects all over the place. The materials used are also of low quality grade. <br /><br />My father don&#39;t have any black and white with the contractor. They made the agreement through handwritten documentation with milestones attached. It has been a month since the house is built but there are a lot of defects eg. cracks, clogged toilet, low water pressure, broken tiles and etc. The contractor said the defects are not his responsibility and would not bear any cost for repairs. <br /><br />What I would like to know is that what alternative should I pursue in this matter? I believe a report to the police would make little difference, if there is any. One of the ways I found out was to report to the consumer tribunal. However, I do not know the procedure and documentations that are needed. I also would like to know inputs from people who have been in my situation before. <br /><br />I can&#39;t thank you enough for your help and advice.
