3 section or 4 section tripod?

Does anyone have experience using both types of tripods? What are the pros and cons you encountered? I'm interested to get a tripod, looking at Benro. I would like something small and portable, hence the consideration for 4 section tripods. However, if using 4 section would compromise stability, I rather sacrifice portability and go for a 3 section tripod.

I'm using a D40 with 18-200mm lens. I plan to do landscape, fireworks and night photography using the tripod.

I hope I supplied enough information for any kind souls to help me out.

Current market price of Kata DR-467 in KL

Hi,

I'll be making a trip to KL and I'll like to know how much the Kata DR-467 is selling at. I've checked around in Singapore and it costs about SGD160. I've seen forum threads quoting RM330 but those were posted in June 2008 so I'm not sure if the prices are still valid.

Photography equipment in Malaysia or Singapore

Hi,

Where would you find cheap photography equipment? Anyone knows if the prices vary a lot between Malaysia, specifically KL, or in Singapore?

I'm planning to buy a Nikkor 18-200mm VR, a camera bag (probably Crumpler) and a tripod (considering Manfrotto).
