Sound System Setup for Live Band

Hi guys,

So I run small live band here in my hometown, Kuching, Sarawak.

I mainly perform at wedding receptions.

The lineup is usually an acoustic violin & acoustic guitar. Sometimes we have a digital keyboard.

Since I don't have any sound system equipment, I get help from 3rd parties.

Recently the quotation I get for the sound system is hitting around RM1.5k - RM2k, which is a little too much for the clients.

The client doesn't want to pay that much for the sound system(excluding musician's fee). So in the end, they choose not to hire any musicians. I lose clients and I lose money

So I'm trying to learn what are the equipment necessary & not necessary in order to help my clients cut cost. Something like custom, selected list equipment?

Here are the details & equipment list I get from 2 different vendors, for the same event and location:

I figure if I knew what is needed, I can specifically order custom parts, which could lead to cheaper quotation while meeting the minimum requirements.

Most of the topics I've found online (including Lowyat's very own NetworksandBroadband section) contain vague answers.

I hope experts/experienced d2 gamers who managed to get it working will be willing to share your input settings.

This is my current setting (doesn't work/still experiencing high latency when streaming YouTube at 720p with my phone)

Hi all,

One of the college I'm trying to enter has a prerequisite that my guardians/parents salaries must not exceed RM8,000(in total) in order to have the loan approved.

My parents salaries combined both have already exceeded RM8,000.

Are there anyone here that has successfully gained the approval for PTPTN loans whilst your guardians/parents salaries has exceeded the maximum limitation?

If so, how did you do it?

Transfer to Art Stream Form 6

Does anyone have any success or know tips of what alasan/excuse/reason to use when you're talking to the school's Form 6 moderator/admin who's in-charged of transferring students from a science stream to an art stream class?

2mrw is the day where we have to apply or it'll be hard to apply anymore

Orginally wanted to give reason : I'm poor in science subjects but I have deep interest in business and economics. I plan to venture into the dangerous world of business in Malaysia so I feel that it's essential that I have a solid foundation of business studies and economics. I believe the high quality education of business & economics study package that our school have to offer is debatable and is on par with Western's top college or university.

Actual reason want to transfer : Lazy study

This is the actual "sajak" that I'm going to tell the teacher tomorrow.

But to make things much smoother, I think it's best if I use the reasons gave by successful students who managed to transfer to the Art Stream

Even better, some teachers inside would know what excuse to be given and they'll pass information to the students to help them

Slim Fit School Uniform!

I'm entering the form 6 class starting somewhere in mid June.

Being the "wanting-to-look-cool-everyday" guy in school, I decided that I'd like to use slim-fit school uniform to school

Form 6 in my school requires the student to wear the regular plain white school uniform & black pants.

But of course, being trendy I decided that I'd like to look more fashionable especially when it's in school;

Where you know la, hot chicks swarming in the school, hot chicks/your crush looks at you. Great feeling isn't it

Moving forward. . .

The question is, does school(government) allows this?

I asked my sister before and she said it's the same thing as "dying" our hair.

That's totally different!!

"Dying" the hair means having an obvious "bad-ass/boy look" but wearing slim-fit school uniforms to me are just like, trying to look neat and muscular

I don't really think even the disciplinary-board teacher will catchs the students for wearing a slim-fit school uniform..

It's basically made of the same material, just that it has some "cuttings" which made it look tighter to show the muscles

I haven't seen any student with that kind of uniform or I just missed it

Not trying to brag but I do have "some" muscles that would make me look good in a slim-fit shirts

Just wanting to know from others before I take on this dare-daring attempt, or so called,

Opinions are needed.

School Allow ==? Asking this straight towards the teacher may deem suicidal

Some of you might know already that the "penempatan for trainees" is out since few days ago. As usual, some kena batch 1,some 2 and some 3

...

How can one apply to batch one if the trainee has been enlisted for batch 2/3?

I know about writing a letter/calling them up. But my friend says that they only mind the "rich" ones. Not sure how credible this is, but I do believe it's intensely difficult as I heard many have been applying to switch to the 1st batch.

but has anyone successfully transferred their batch alongside with their "kem" as well??

Would you kind souls give advice on how to get through the process? My friend is very "down" now She wants to be applied to batch 1

Please do give advice anyone of you out there who have a clue or had successfully produced a result~

SPM grading scale in 2010

This is the 2010's SPM 'grading' scale . This record is based on statistics from Semenanjung Malaysia. No idea which fella get this from. I got it from my friend Just sharing with you all students out there who are sitting for SPM 2011' papers.

I removed out all the 'Bs' grades because I believe majority students would prefer "A-" grade instead of a B+.. I repost this using Microsoft Excel rather than using the original picture to protect the original owner's identity

Plus I only have records up to B

*I don't think this is illegal since none of the law states that statistics cannot be shown to public If it is please do remove this post

I believe this would help to "reduce" the student's stress since left 14 days or so to SPM.. If it does increase your stress, sorry lol

ans : p = 2

How to solve?

Marking Scheme only gave me,

(8-x^3)
(2x^-5)

p = 2

That doesn't explain anything

I heard that from my friends that replacing the LAN cable that we're using with the Fibre Optic cable can increase our download speed. Is that true o.O?? I can't find these fact in the search function & Google..

I'm currently subscribing a RM66(512kbps) Streamyx Package now..and of course..I'm downloading Songs,Movie,Games,etc from a direct link or others with a poor speed of 50-70kbps..That's the fastest speed I ever get through downloading

So..I was wondering if my theory would work Anyone tried it out ??

I'm sitting for PMR this year. And I have come to notice that....they say the marks are reduced...

What I meant was:

Example : Doraemon scored 56 in his Bahasa Melayu subject
So if his mark was taken for PMR, would it be A?

I've seen many students...who were not hardworking, could scored 5 -6 A's and a few B even if they keep failing in the school's examination?

Does anyone has the PMR grade statictic for this year?

SMS problem

A few days ago, I received an SMS. It was about "Rahsia Seks"(Sex Secrets). Now, don't get me wrong...!!

In the message, I was given the offer to know the secrets by typing "ON RAHSIA" to the number XXXXX

I did it(Hey, there's nothing wrong right? The more knowledge we get the better it is. I'm 24 anyway,no big deal)

So uh...The problem doesn't come from the message that I received after subscribing.

The main problem is that it charges me RM0.50 for every message it sent to me.

In a day, it sent me 2 messages

So in a week, there will be 14 messages.

In a month,there will be about (14 x 4) = 56 messages

56 x 0.50 = RM28

Oh no, I'm toast. I don't have that much money to be spent...!! I'm a postpaid user.

Any ideas how can I solve this? I tried replying back "OFF RAHSIA" back to the number, but it doesn't work( I still keep receiving the messages).

Man...I truly regret this . Anyway, am I allowed to post the number here? I mean the number which I wrote to with the sms "ON RAHSIA"
