Just got a call from "LPPSA" offering 60k grant!

Hi Guys,

Just got a call from 011-Five Five 092261. Stating that he is from LPPSA and I have been offered a RM 60K grant!! (no need to payback).

This guy asked me 3 questions.

1. Am I a government staff?
2. Do I currently own a property?
3. My current salary?

after just giving a simple feedback the caller says that he will send me a Zoom link for further details on the enrollment.

Funny thing is that, I never apply for anything with regards to this... so heads up to those that might receive the same call to be careful.

Hi All,

There was a flood at Taman Pudu Ulu today and while driving through the flood, I lost my car plate number.

So I decided to drive through the area again just now looking for my car plate number... to my surprise I am not the only one affected.

As a matter of fact, I found 5 car plate numbers & collected them... sadly none was mine.

So to those who lost their car plate number listed in the below pics. You can find them near the main entrance of Taman Pudu Ulu before DBKL clean the place.

Hi Guys, Sifus & Car owners...

I am planning to get a car to replace my current old trusty Proton Saga.

My current choices are between the Honda Jazz & BMW E90. Since I have zero knowledge on both cars I'd appreciate that if the current car owners/sifus of either models can share with me the common issues they face & cost to fix those common issues this is so I know what I am getting myself into.

This is meant as a family car for city and mid distance driving (KL-Johor) with my wife as the main driver.

A bit of background on me with regards to my Saga, I normally use high quality parts from Japan, always on Fully Synthetic engine oil since the day I own the Saga, often repair the car myself when I have time e.g wiring/overhaul. (use to be a bike/car mech for 6 months++) easier way to put it, any car or bike that I own I will give it TLC.

Windows 10 & CSGO Issues

Hi Guys,

Do you guys face any issue playing CSGO after updating to Windows 10?

I have tried this before where windows 10 was updated successfully but I was unable to launch CSGO. Tried so many fixes on the internet but still unable to play.

Finally I re-installed Windows 7 back... damn sad...

Should LHDN/IRB Increase Tax Relief?

Hi All,

Due to the recent increase in prices of things because of the exchange rate/GST & etc, do you believe the Government/LHDN should re-evaluate the tax relief amount?

Here are some of the situations that I faced:

1. Rise of computer parts & product prices: (current relief rate = RM 3k per 3 years)

- Due to the ailing RM rate compared to other countries, majority of computer goods prices have increase by 1/3 of their previous prices.
- New technology items are even more expensive than before, Previously (10 years ago) a new top of the range GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) will cost around RM 500-1k. Recently this has change, the current price for Mid range is around RM 600-1k and top range can go as high as 7k or more.
- The computer parts price rise is not only comprised of only 1 product but it also affects others (CPU, HDD, PSU and etc)

2. Implementation of GST on Medication & other items/services. (current relief rate = RM 5k)

- Even though that some core medications are exempted from GST. There are other vital medications or support equipment that are still non-exempted.
- There are even some basic support items are also non tax exempted.

3. Education & Study fees (current relief rate = RM 5k)

- Prices of universities are in an average of 30-60k & more depending to the university. (non Government Uni)
- Core Professional certs will even cost more than 5k.

4. Sports Products (current relief rate = RM 300)

- A typical OK badminton racket will now cost around RM 200++ a Good racket will cost around RM 400-500 and a Pro racket will cost around RM 600-1k++
- A good soccer ball will cost around RM 200++ - RM500 and will not last a year.
- A cone of shuttlecocks will cost around RM 80 (AS-30) and will easily run out in a 2 hour game for 8pax.

5. Houses (current relief rate = RM 10k limited)

- A house no longer cost RM 100k or RM 200k below. A new house located WAYYYY out of town area is already costing around RM 500k-800k.
- A typical 20 x 70 house in KL will cost RM 700k minimum & averaging at the price of RM 1mil and above
- A small 400-500 sqft condo can cost around 300k-500k.

and many more.

I seriously believe that LHDN will need to re-evaluate and re-adjust and provide new tax relief to us Malaysian citizens. The rates and reliefs that are currently in place are not so relevant to the current situation that we are in.

What do you think?

p/s: above is my humble opinion on the current circumstances we are all in, to help Malaysians & keep itself relevant, LHDN should keep itself informed and abreast of the current conditions/state of the Malaysian citizens.

Proton Inspira & Lancer Common Issues?

Hi Guys,

Planning to get an Proton Inspira 2.0 P CVT (2nd hand) soon. Before I make this big jump, I appreciate if those who are currently using Inspira can share with me the common issues faced with Inspira. This is so that I can prepare for them should it happen to me.

I am currently a proud owner of a 1991 Proton Saga Megavalve, the Saga has gone through thick and thin with me! sadly as there is a new requirement for reliability and safety, I have to upgrade.

Appreciate if you can share the pro's and con's of the Inspira and Lancer of the same specs.

CAIRO (Reuters) - Islamic State insurgents threatened on Tuesday to turn the Gaza Strip into another of their Middle East fiefdoms, accusing Hamas, the organisation that rules the Palestinian territory, of being insufficiently stringent about religious enforcement.

The video statement, issued from an Islamic State stronghold in Syria, was a rare public challenge to Hamas, which has been cracking down on jihadis in Gaza who oppose its truces with Israel and reconciliation with the U.S.-backed rival Palestinian faction Fatah.

"We will uproot the state of the Jews (Israel) and you and Fatah, and all of the secularists are nothing and you will be over-run by our creeping multitudes," said a masked Islamic State member in the message addressed to the "tyrants of Hamas".

"The rule of sharia (Islamic law) will be implemented in Gaza, inspite of you. We swear that what is happening in the Levant today, and in particular the Yarmouk camp, will happen in Gaza," he said, referring to Islamic State advances in Syria, including in a Damascus district founded by Palestinian refugees.

Islamic State has also taken over swathes of Iraq and has claimed attacks in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Yemen.

Hamas is an Islamist movement that shares the jihadis' hostility to Israel but not their quest for a global religious war, defining itself more within the framework of Palestinian nationalism.

Deemed a terrorist group by Israel, the United States and the European Union, and viewed by neighbouring Arab power Egypt as a regional security threat, Hamas's struggle against Islamic State-linked jihadis has not won sympathy abroad.

Israel's intelligence minister, Israel Katz, accused Hamas on Tuesday of partnering with Islamic State affiliates in the Egyptian Sinai - a charge long denied by the Palestinian group.

"There is cooperation between them in the realm of weapons smuggling and terrorist attacks. The Egyptians know this, and the Saudis," Katz told a Tel Aviv conference organised by the Israel Defense journal.

"At the same time, within Gaza, ISIS (Islamic State) has been flouting Hamas. But they have common cause against the Jews, in Israel or abroad."

4G15 Mods Q&A

Hi Guys,

I am planning to do the following upgrades, any advise, comments or suggestions?

1. "Sparco" Steering Quick Release (anyone using? does it shake?)

2. "SARD" Fuel pressure regulator (I am using the standard saga carb, is this upgrade ok? or do I need to change the fuel rail and weber carb also before doing this upgrade?)

3. Arospeed Cam Pulley (or should I use the standard one since I am not going to put in Hi Cam?)

4. Mod 1.6 flywheel? (got benefit or the increase in power is not worth the cost & time?)

5. Exedy semi racing clutch? (or should I just stick to standard? benefits?)
