Additional info not in the video: Noise Level

I only thought about this after I complete the video....

put it to the max, definitely audible but for me it is not annoying... There's a possibility of people find it annoying, I'm the type who either wear headphones/earphones or blast the speaker, ambient noise is not much of a bother for me...

My wife did mention she heard the extra noise though when she didn't aware of the extra box at the laptop, not saying it annoys her but simply saying that it is noticeable... and that's when it is on auto, perhaps minimum speed.

Pebble and Microsoft partnership fell apart

http://www.windowscentral.com/pebble-micro...n-windows-phone

So, basically what happened was Microsoft bend over backwards trying to please Pebble, do the support development and proved Pebble can be run on Windows Phone but the CEO seems to have personal issue with Microsoft. So, we are not going to see support for Pebble; most likely ever...

How do you feel about that? I was hoping some sort of official support would come eventually and was planning to buy Pebble as soon as they have proper support, but looks like I can say goodbye to the dreams now... I hope Microsoft produce more Band will bring them in to Malaysia...

Region locked games can't be played now?

Recently I noticed on Steam store pages they have this new notice;

QUOTE

Notice: Purchases made in Malaysia are only playable in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

So, does it mean new games that I bought in Malaysia cannot be played if I'm travelling to US or Europe?

I know this isn't the case previously, but with this new notice it kind of worries me...

Newly Build Rig; No Post, mobo says memory fault.

Alright, before I start let me give this new rig specs.

Intel Core i7-2600K
Asus P8Z77V-LK Motherboard
Kingston HyperX 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz 1.65V
Asus GTX680 DirectCUII OC
1TB WD Caviar Black
Xigmatek NRP PC702 700W PSU

After I put things together, I turned it on and it doesn't do POST. The motherboard has this indicator pointing that the memory is at fault. After many troubleshoot with my friend, I find out that the memory cannot be seated into Channel A. I did try with my friend's processor (i7-3770K), turns out my processor is at fault. My friend's processor boots up fine no matter where the memory is seated. Because I'm pretty lazy to claim the warranty on the processor, I let the memory seated on Channel B.

After a week or so, the situation deteriorates. The system hangs while booting up and after reset, it doesn't do POST anymore. While I suspect my processor's condition deteriorates, I went to my friend to confirm the issue. I put my processor into his system:-

Intel DZ77GA-70K motherboard
Kingston HyperX 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz 1.65V
AMD HD7790 (can't remember the manufacturer)

My processor boots up fine without caring much where the memory is seated! So I naturally think, something is wrong with my system so I borrow his processor and put it into my system, to my surprise it works just fine. Now, not knowing what the problem is, I put my processor back to my system, it doesn't boot up!

Thinking, maybe the processor or the RAM need some BIOS upgrade before becoming stable, I update the BIOS to the latest but no improvement.
And then I think, maybe sandybridge really cannot run 1.65V DDR3 even if the SPD tells the BIOS it only need 1.5V, so I go and grab 1.5V 1600MHz DDR3 no improvement as well.
Now I do think that sandybridge only support 1333MHz DDR3, but I can't grab any 1333MHz DDR3 so I can't test it (though I doubt it is true since I've tested sandybridge with 1600MHz DDR3 before, they works just fine)
Right now, I'm awaiting my order of i7-3770K to arrive since it seems to be the only way to get the system running but my curiosity isn't yet satisfied.

Can somebody points me, what's actually wrong with my system? All parts are working fine individually, but not as a whole. Last I checked with the sensors, my PSU is giving the correct voltage though I do not know about the current.

XBox360 Consoles and Games Region

I'm pretty new to console gaming as I've been always game on PC, but Kinect has changed everything for me... So now I'm very attracted to Kinect and seeing quite a good deal in this holiday season over here in US, I'm planning to get one. Though one thing that I'm not very sure is, how does the region lock works.

Is it tied to the account we used or it's hardcoded in the console itself so that consoles bought in US will never work with other region locked games? I'm in US for a while and will be back in Malaysia in a few months. So what I'm afraid of is that if I bought the console here, I can't play any region locked games ever in Malaysia, there's no point in buying... but if it's tied to the account we used for the xbox, probably I can just register my location in malaysia or singapore?
