Need some help. I'm having that possibly hax/compromised account merge battle.net thingy going on. Just found out yesterday after missing out for 8mths. So I emailed Bilzz and they replied they cant help thru email and to give their support line a call.

Just found out that it's like very cheap to make international calls, so I decided to make the call. Question is, should I call the US, AUS or Singapore representatives... or something else?

Tineye is a very good site to locate wallpaper source. just upload or pop a link to the desktop screenshot and u shld get the results.

Hi, hope the community could provide a solution for the current problem.
My & my friend recently bought a new PC. Two machines, specs are almost the same. I ran some pc games on it w/o encountering any problem but my friend got some hiccups with the PC suddenly freezing with a black screen as if there's no signal passing to the monitor. The only difference is that he's running on Vista while I'm running on XP. Driver wise are the latest from the nvidia site. Below are the specs.

Intel Core2Duo E7300
ASUS P5QL-PRO
Kingston 4GB DDR2
Palit Nvidia 9600 GT
Seagate SATA 320GB
CoolerMaster Extreme 500W

has anyone tried miro 1.0 yet? it's a very cool open source application that lets videos online. i wont compare miro with joost cos i'd nvr used joost b4. miro supports all os platforms and it's free, no registrations, no need invites, just download and install, that's all. i've been using it and manage to grab videos from x-play, aots, discovery, ngc, mtx... etc etc. give it a try.

Compiz Fusion

anyone tried the new Compiz Fusion yet? I managed to get it run on my Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty. It's runs very smoothly and has lots of eye candy.

starting up Compiz and settings.

the usual Cube Desktop (i grew bored of this effect alr.)

u can Unfold the Cube Desktop and select which workspace by pressing left n right.

the Expo display where u can set how many Workspace u want. u can set 4x4 = 16 Workspace display on expo but i only tested on 1x4 = 4 Workspace.

the Tile effect.

the Ring Switcher. kinda like Alt+Tab but in a 3d circular motion.

like the Water Pen effect in Beryl, there's a Fire Pen effect where u can draw on the desktop.

1. High school started before 8am, but now anything before noon is considered "early".

2. You have more beer than food in your fridge.

3. Weekends start on Thursday.

4. 6am is when you go to sleep, not when you wake up.

5. You know many different ways to cook ramen noodles or macaroni and cheese.

6. The health center gives out free condoms, and people take them... just in case.

7. Instead of falling asleep in class, you stay in bed.

8. You know how late McDonald's, Taco Bell, Qdoba, etc. are open.

9. You think it's the weekend on a Wednesday and you don't know what month it is.

10. You can't remember the last time you washed your car.

11. Your underwear/sock supply dictates your laundry schedule.

12. You check Facebook/Myspace more than once a day.

13. You get drunk dialed on any night of the week.

14. You wash dishes in the bathroom sink.

15. You've fallen off a loft bed.

is there any way to limit my overall dl/ul net usage? i live in a shared network environment n i've been hogging the bandwidth since i switched to ubuntu. pls advise.

ps: to those newly switched to ubuntu, do u noticed any tremendous speed increase on your internet usage? quite often i can get over 90 kB/s on any downloads and using ktorrent.

Accessing Modem

sry if i asked a noob question regarding modem & networking. assume im really dumb to the max in networking... can any1 pls pinpoint me how 2 access my modem? im currently using the old Aztech DSL Turbo 900 modem with a Linksys router. is it in order to access the modem, i have to link directly to it without passing the router? or do i have to fiddle with some commands in ms-dos? please guide.
