Service Card Scam

I had been receiving a phone call from someone saying want to send me a service card.

The first time I got this call, the lady over the line can read out my name, IC number and address. Then she wanted to confirm my credit card number. I wasn't aware at that time and nearly read out all my credit card details. When came to the point that she wanted me to read out my credit card number, I started to suspect. I refused to read it out. She hung up the call.

Second time I got this call, the lady over the line said want to send me a service card. I immediately said 'DON'T WANT!!!' and hung up.

The 3rd time, just now, I received another call. The same old shit, she said she want to send me a service card. This time, I decided to talk to her and try to ask her questions. I asked what name company, she said it is a company called 'Fast Lane' or 'Fast Land' or something. Then she said her company is working with the bank and can use the card to get discount. Then she immediately wanted to confirm my credit card number. I responded to her, said that 'since you are working with bank, you should already have my address and details. why ask so much questions!!!'. She said she want to confirm my address lah, want to confirm my identity lah, scared that sent the card to wrong person lah, blah, blah, blah... Then I told her that I previously got 2 calls, all said want to send me a service card, and you are the 3rd person who called me. She said her superior will call me later and immediately hung up.

I post here to let you know that there is such a scam technique people are using right now.

They want your credit card number and they will say that they don't have the security code behind the card, therefore they can't do anything with your card.

THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!

People can still make use of you credit card even without the security code.

NEVER EVER read out your credit card number to strangers.

Edit:
The caller phone number is: 014-728 6187
