It's also the company's first phone in a while to be fully assembled in the USA.

The Motorola Moto X is build around a 4.7" AMOLED display with full RGB matrix and 720p resolution. This results in a pixel density of 316 ppi. The screen is protected by a new type of Gorilla Glass, which is dubbed Magic Glass due to its curves towards the edges of the phone.

On the inside, the Motorola Moto X features a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset with dual 1.7GHz Krait cores, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Internal storage is 16GB or 32GB depending on the version you choose but there's no card slot for further expansion. Just like the latest DROID line-up, the Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset is part of the Motorola X8 board, which also includes a natural language processor and contextual computing processor.

The Moto X camera has a 10MP sensor and uses the ClearPixel technology for superior low-light performance. Every other green portion of the Bayer filter array, which sits in front of the image sensor, is replaced by a clear one, allowing more light to reach the sensor.

On the software side, the camera offers HDR, burst shots and panorama. The Moto X can also shoot full HD videos at 30fps and there are features like face detection and geo-tagging on board. At the front, there's a 2MP camera capable of 1080p video recording that serves for video-chatting purposes.

Motorola has gone great lengths to make the Moto X a truly customizable phone. Customers can choose whether the front panel to be black or white, as well as the color of the back panel from 18 options. There's also a third customizable area called accent - it covers the camera rim and side buttons. Further customization includes adding a name or short message on the back of the phone as choosing a Google account and wallpaper to come preinstalled on the device.

The Motorola Moto X runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which at first glance looks as clean as stock, but Motorola has added a few touches of its own. One of them is the Active Display feature, which makes use of the OLED screen and brings a snippet of information (the time, new messages and voicemail) on a blank black screen. Think of it as an Android version of Nokia's Glance Screen feature.

Motorola has also preinstalled a transfer app called Migrate. It allows you to transfer your photos, videos, SIM contacts and even call and text history from any Android phone running Android 2.2 or higher.

Because of the curved back, the Motorola Moto X thickness varies from 5.6 to 10.4mm. The phone has a pretty decent footprint for its 4.7" display - 129.3 x 65.3mm with a weight of the very acceptable 130 grams.

Below the customizable back panel sits a 2200mAh battery, which Motorola rates at 13 hours of 3G talk time and up to 24 hours of mixed usage endurance.

User List:
1) SyathibiyMegat: DE 32GB (Verizon)/ Black front, Woven black back, Yellow accent 32GB (AT&T)/ White front, Bamboo back, Silver accent 32GB (Verizon)/ Black front and accent, Ebony back 32GB/ Black Droid Maxx 32GB Verizon
Currently using: White front, Teak back, Blue accent 32GB & Black Droid Maxx 32GB Verizon
2) sillygoat
3) chingyee79: black front, navy blue back, red accent
4) hjh87: white front, crimson back, red accent 32GB
5) Escaflowne
6) Forgotten06: black front, walnut back, yellow accent 32GB
7) pikacu
8) ch0cob0: white front, bamboo back, yellow accent
9) hiansitt: black front, navy blue back, silver accent
10) joshua963; black front, ebony back, red accent 32GB
11) afza: woven black
12) spayre: DE
13) @ns: woven black
14) maxZibel: woven black
15) budakmaran: woven black
16) AppleTwist
17) slacker: woven black
18) coolim09k: woven black
19) haroit
20) Wildcat
21) jesseblue
22) luttse: black front & accent, walnut back 32GB
23) stevengan88: black front, walnut back, orange accent 32GB
24) protoNium
25) wined
26) walikard: woven black
27) more69: woven black
28) vicng93: woven black
29) millenius: black front, ebony back, cherry accent 32GB
30) louis198920: white front, bamboo back, gold accent 32GB

No Fixed line Internet

My taman no fixed line Internet. New taman 50 percent occupied. Is there anything I can do. I don't live in kampung. And at this day and age I still don't believe developers can get away with no fixed Internet line in their development plan. The council also can approve housing plan that doesn't have fixed Internet.

So, is there anything I can do? I already have 3g but due to its limited feature I am spending 200 rm a month which heavy to my budget.

Free text book not given to foreign students?

My daughter is a foreigner schooling in government primary school. Last year she got free text books. But this year the school denied her that privilege. Reason is, which we just got to understand recently, that last year she was never entitled anyway but text books was given to her because of surplus.

I am under the impression that malaysia guarantees free education for all, the and that payment of the yearly foreign student fee entitles her free text books.

Btw. I am malaysian. Only my daughter is not.

I am going to transfer house around Kota Samarahan, Sarawak. Taman Bintang 2 to be exact. I checked with Telekom and there is no telekom line in that area. Any alternative you kind people can suggest?

Preferably not the wireless kind, coz from my experience its not consistently good. and when it's terrible, it's really the worst experience.

thanks

Is the new SwiftKey Flow awesome?

The top reason I love android is the ability to install the keyboard of your choice. Just checking how people feel about this keyboard. To me it's awesome. Love the way it allows me to mix typing and swyping on the fly while supporting 3 languages which I tend to use in one sentence. But too bad it doesn't support mandarin. Too bad if you are Chinese.

Make sure you use it before you vote

It would be awesome if all my messages is at one place. Be it sms, Skype, Google talk, sms, viber, line, whatsapp, yahoo etc. The problems i face now i get confuse which app to use. When I want to message somebody I don't know which app to use. I select one and realize he is not on that app. So I end up switching from one app to another til I find one that he is subscribed to. Waste of time. Any apps that can centralize my messages?

Streaming Pictures and videos from PC to ipad

As per title. I have done my a bit of homework. And so far i came up with:

1. Imagebank - to stream pictures
2. Video Air - to stream videos

for some strange reasons, there is no package that does both (duh...). and for some reason i dono why this solution doesn't come out of the box.

anybody come across an integrated solution. detail requirements:
1. the videos and picture must not degrade in quality, that's important.
2. must be thru wifi, wires are cumbersome, and also make no sense must as well watch on the pc
3. must be streamed. not downloaded to ipad. ipad has limited space. if i download my entire family album in there it won't like it.

I have a samsung and a few windows PCs, and my wife has a blackberry and a data plan. She is overseas, so using 3G phone solution is not the answer. I don't have a blackberry, so a bis solution is not the answer either. and of course I am looking for a solution that doesn't charge you for the service.

i know blackberry have no skype, that is why i am looking for an alternative solution. I been googling around but info out there are quite muddled.

This a good read

http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/playst...under-the-hood/

You can have a good debate on who is more technically advance (winner is sony btw), but it all comes down to the games and fun factor. and the wii motion plus is pretty fun. is the MOVE funner?

My opinion so far is - not really.

Why did u choose the Wii over ps3 and 360

I have ask a few, and usually their reasons are not the same as mine. so i like to gauge the common reasons

As for me, here are my reasons:

1. i am a family man, so when i make decisions, i need to think about everybody and not just me. I need a console where everbody can play together. I need my wife to play too. She is super anti gaming (nope, if u think your gf/wife is more anti gaming, i will introduce u to my wife then only u know). but with the wii, she plays boogie superstar, RB beatles, and wii sports resort. if ps3/xbox360, i can only see her playing rb beatles. actually i have been contemplating of getting a ps3 long time ago, but it would be selfish of me. so i am waiting for the moment when ps3 can become more family friendly.

2. I hate the analog stick when playing fps. I can't play fps on ps3/xbox360. Its so hard to aim. I prefer point and shoot. I always wonder why ps3/xbox360 after all these years still stick to analog stick for fps. its so unnatural.

3. I like the idea of it doubling as a fitness gadget. dancing, tennis, and even drumming will make u sweat like a pig. oh, and after playing mario kart wii for an hour, u notice how painful your arms get from holding the 'steering' on the air without any support. yes, i get maro kart wii aches too.

EDIT: as of today i have both ps3 and wii. i would say they don't really compete which each other, rather they make gaming more complete. after 5 months, i must say the above 3 points still wins on the wii. ps3 is for me and me only (not for my kids), and i still hate the ps3 ds3 controller (although i am getting d hang of it now), and i don't have any fitness games on ps3. but ps3 have very good mature games. and amazing graphics.

First, read the writeup
http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/exerc...-details-642286

2nd, watch d video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kjaWoSqyVc...player_embedded

I really tried to find a selling point. Assuming i am not a gamer, and i am really into exercise bikes like a gamer is into games. but are there really such people that are this passionate about exercise bikes? perhaps i am being narrow minded.......but here goes...... shovelware extreme!

Problem with GHWT guitar

Lately i have been having glitches on my GHWT guitar controller. It is as though i played missed notes. At first i though that sometimes my timing in hitting the notes were not right (although it seemed right to me). But i finally concluded there was something wrong with the guitar. At one time at the beggining of a song before any guitar notes roll down, i would suddenly get missed notes until the song abruptly ended. And i didn't even stump a single note!

I bought the game about 3 weeks ago, but I only indulge in the game during weekends. That is why I only noticed it recently.

Anybody experiencing the same? Is there anything I can do? I can't send it back to activition, can I?
