transfer data n software without installing

Guys, need your advice.

My company bought one new lappy. so they told me to transfer all the data n software from the old lappy to the new lappy.

So my question, is it possible to transfer program or software that already installed on the old labtop to the new laptop without installing it( i mean after copy n paste to the Program files of the new labtop and then run the program as usual without installing).

PC restarts after pressing shut down button

Hello there.

I encounter some problem with my office PC that i'm currently using. The problem that i'm facing is that when i press the shutdown button the PC restarts instead of shutting down. The only way for me to shutting down is by forcing it. Fear that the window file or HDD might spoiled if i keep forcing it to shutdown. Btw, the PC is running on Windows XP PRO and i didn't do any changes to the system configuration just only doing my office work.

backup file from old notebook to new notebook

i have two notebook ( 1 old & 1 new)

how to backup data from the old notebook hard drive into the new notebook without using the external hard drive since there is some problem with the OS file that might required a full reformat on the old notebook. the new notebook hv a eSata port n hv a 2.5" SATA hard drive while the old notebook dont hv eSata port n hv a 2.5" Sata hard drive. could i connect just by using the Esata cable on the old hard drive(after taking it out) to the new hard drive n set it as a secondary hard drive? or is there any other way. Hope someone can assist me...

Vista Home premium startup issue

My sister is using compaq presario V3700 notebook. there is a startup issue on the windows. the notebook will hang on the loading bar n it happen quite frequently. i also notice that the hard disk light indicator blinking for around 10 to 15 seconds b4 it stopped blinking but the loading bar still run until 10 minutes b4 i force it to shutdown. then when i on it again n everytime back to normal again n no more hanging issue on the loading bar. Is this a normal issue for windows vista?can anyone give some advice?
