KUALA LUMPUR: The 1Malaysia People’s Housing Scheme (PR1MA) scam is making its rounds and it has already claimed scores of victims, including rich and influential individuals.
Four women, claiming to be agents of the PR1MA housing scheme for first-time buyers, convinced the gullible but greedy victims to pay up to RM7,000 to “book” their houses.
Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Khairuldin Saad said the 38 victims who were fleeced of more than RM150,000 have come forward.
The all-women scam team was fully aware that the greedy are apt to be gullible as many of their “clients” knew that they were not eligible to buy the medium-or low-cost properties as they already own houses or were earning more than RM10,000.
A titled victim, a Datin who had parted with RM7,000, said she and several other buyers knew they were conned when they could not find their “dream” homes when they visited the “site” in Taman Cempaka, Ampang.
The Datin reported to police that she paid RM7,000 for her PR1MA house but found the houses in the area where she had bought her “PR1MA” house were already occupied.
Thirty-seven other gullible buyers have also come forward since the Datin lodged a police report last Wednesday,
“Most of them were found to be ineligible for the PR1MA housing,” said Khairuldin in a report carried by the Malay Mail Online.
The scam team approached the Datin on September 5 and offered her a “shortcut” to obtain a PR1MA house.
The team then gave the Datin application forms from Kuala Lumpur City Hall and gave her briefings twice later in the month on the “shortcuts” to buy a semi-detached house or a town house in Ara Damansara, or an apartment unit in Ampang.
The delighted Datin shared details of her deal with her friends in an online chat group and arranged for meetings in October with the scam team. Twenty of her gullible friends paid deposits of between RM2,500 and RM7,000.
In November the government announced that it had not appointed any agents to sell PR1MA houses. The news was carried in the mass media.
The Datin then realised that she and her friends had been conned but the scam team came up with a “letter” from the prime minister appointing them as PR1MA agents, and showed them purported lists of police and other “convincing” clients.
The Datin and her friends never got their money back.

I just bought a new rig today,

Processor - AMD FX6300
Mobo - Asus m5 A97 R2.0
GPU - Asus Radeon R7 250
Ram - 4gb DDR3
PSU - AeroCool KCAS 500W

My problem is that when i try to start the pc, it cannot detect the card. But when i change to my old card, it detected.

Anyone knows the solution?

Employer holding Salary

Hye,

Im planning to quit my company due to getting another good offer. Condition of contract is 2months notice. So company will hold 2months salary means if i submit today i will get my March and April salary together at the end of April.

On my offer letter doesnt mention anything about this. Just got to know from colleague.

Do you guys experienced this before?

So i went to TM Point. To settle my unifi bill. Then the customer service guy ask me to check on TM Rewards points. So after checking my point is 1700.

That is cumulative since 2011 till now. I was happy. So i asked what can i redeem with this point.

You know the answer?

"Oh, abg boleh redeem RM15 rebate tuk bill bulan ni"

I was like . 4 years of paying RM150 per month and they can only give RM15 rebate?. Blady crony!
