Objective: To build a PC with a Powermac G5 case without removing all the unique features provided by the casing design and keep most of the original fans, internal structure intact.

Material Used: The case itself, Several Pc hardwares for testing, epoxy glues, tools and more...

Costs: As low as possible for the PC parts, upgrade for future. For case modding, i used all the original fans and most of the part. Roughly all were less than RM1k exclude the price of the 1.6ghz working G5 i get from wei. yes yes a working fine G5 i salvaged it

Suggestions:

Need some advise from everyone here for my few more slight issue.

1) Have an internal mono speaker would like to make it work with the mobo so that i can switch from diff channel , e,g, front panel jack, back port for external speaker and internal speaker.

2) PSU, as you can see the original psu was 1U height so that it could fit under the case and close with the metal plate covers it, other than switch the current psu into the 1U psu case or remake the metal plate?

3) Fans were a bit loud even running at 5V, anything below 5V is good but the fan wont start spinning without voltage below 5V but after it start spinning i can turn it down to 3-4v it won't giving any loud problem. Original the fan was control by the G5 motherboard and when turning on the mac, the fan will rev up for a sec then turn slow down. Unless i fine a way to make something make like that or i just have to turn the speed up and down manually.
Summary: Right now all fan running at 5V mode, i need to find a way to turn all the fan running at 3-4v after it start spins.

Currently anyone has a UPS hook up to your macs? im wondering any requirements to get the Mac OS integrated UPS management software under the energy saver settings to work?

All i knew is currently all UPS by APC that has USB cable works, how about other brand?

Primary Hard Drive failed to boot Leopard

one question..
is it possible to take out the hard disk in the macbook and place it on a external usb case then hook into other mac like imac, then run diskwarrior on imac to repair the main partition?
because im having problem booting into leopard, DU reported that my primary partition "key out of order". I can't boot into any of the disk rescue bootCD since this is the latest macbook, diskwarrior still waiting apple to supply them they new startup disk, neither techtool 4 could also. I've tried.
If diskwarrior possible to fix my hdd on a USB case then im gonna grab one asap.
someone can give some idea about this kind of situation? i have a lot of assignments on that partition i don't wan to lose it.

Hi, anyone faced the same problem as Flash on webpages hog up ur cpu resources and it lags your whole web browser, Tested on Latest safari and Firefox 3. Both giving the same Result!

Tried uninstall the flash components in 10.5.5 then install the version 9, still the same. Im wondering is it the Mac OS X problem or Adobe problem?

PC hang then now cant boot

been using my pc overclocked like wat i stated on my signature for months stable no prob. today wake up it hangs and the speaker plays some weird sounds like hissing or something, after reset the pc now, no display, no beep but all fans leds working, include the leds on mobo and rams area, GPU fans also runnning.

did some diagnosis,

remove all Hdds pci cards = fail
remove gpu leave ram and processors only = fail, no beep
reinstall processor= fail
reset bios /remove battery/ reset by jumpers = fail

any idea? is it my mobo dead or my proc or gpu? headache now cant do work!!!

EDIT: 1 Dimm of team xtreem ram dead.. Fixed

two different gateway/router sharing 1 WAN

i have 1 wifi router which has access to internet and all the housemates sharing files on this network,
but now i wan to setup another wifi router to have different new gateway(2nd) which also sharing on the same streamyx line but i dun wan this new network to share files with my 1st network. 2nd wifi router needed to connect through the 1st wifi router.

i had a maxtorgb pata hdd , when formatted to ntfs , writing speed were fast when copying files at the begining 1-3sec, after then slowly goes down till 500kb/sec ..
ran check disk all return 0 errors.. format few times still the same.. wat should i do?

hi guys, i just bought a WD 500GB HDD at Cycom few days ago, i partitioned into 2 drives and 1 for my new OS(65.8GB) , yesterday tried and install os on it i got alot of errors when installing driver and keep on telling me that temp folder cant write or wat.. after that i ignore it.. The other partition(400GB) i store all my files lik movies and games installer, guess wad.. today i wanted to read some files and 30% of 400GB on that partitions files permission error and cant read.. after do a CheckDisk all those files gone.

mY questions is can i take back to Cycom that shop to replace a new 1? anything should i do before i go to there coz i dun wan wasting my time go there for nothing.

or is there any solution to fix that prob?

SE Phone WSOD Fix

Today my SE K800i just got White Screen of Death (WSOD) and it happened when i replace sim card and the phone just wont start and the LED in the infrared keep on blink for 1 sec. SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) just wont work cause u cant press the "C" button and just wont do anything. so i google out i found this software called Kulankendi Client.
